We are a group of 45 unpaid volunteers who provide search and rescue services to people and animals who find themselves in difficulty, mainly in the countryside. We are available all day every day, whatever the weather. An Operational Support Group aid the Search and Rescue members. We depend on donations and fundraising. We assist both the Police and the Ambulance Service and other services.

Various groups are run for the educational, social and wellbeing of the mature person and other persons eligible for membership due to no longer being in full employment.

Music in Country Churches was established as a charitable trust in 1989. It has two aims: (1) to assist churches in rural regions of England and Wales with holding concerts of classical music; (2) to raise funds to assist those churches with the costs of their repair and maintenance. The Charity is particularly keen to provide performance opportunities to young and emerging musicians.

our clients come from a broad group of indivuals from the local community including young people, elderly people, people with disabilies people providing social welfare through advice and information service with clients and also one to one interaction with clients, through eduacation,training,job club arts and crafts youth provision including sports, lesiure, indoor and outdoor activities.

To encourage and promote public interest in the preservation of historical steam powered road vehicles, fairground and agricultural equipment and to promote safe operation, maintenance, repair and exhibition of such equipment by organising training programmes, publication of books and codes of practice and by supporting skills development programmes for youngsters and adults.

We are a charity that promotes sustainable development, conservation of the environment and poverty alleviation. We support our activities through donations and programme related investment in renewable energy. The charity has invested in 12.9MW of wind energy in India. We use the surplus income from these investments to support social and environmental initiatives both in the UK and overseas.

We're a community pre-school providing local village children the opportunity to learn through play. We also run the only parent & toddler group in the village, a lifeline for rural families.

The Ellesemere Centre provides sports and recreation facilities to a number of rural communities.

The purpose of the Goodly Dale Cottage Homes is "to provide accomodation for poor persons of good character each of whom shall not be less than 60 years of age (or 50 if disabled), and shall have been born or lived for 10 of the last 30 years in Windermere and Ambleside Urban Districts, Undermillbeck, Troutbeck and Applethwaite.

Provision of village hall for local community activities including the Parish Council, various exercise classes, private hires for family parties, weddings, wakes and other leisure activities.

The provision of accommodation for charities and other organisations and providing an administration service to other grant making bodies. Also making Grants to individuals in line with the Charity's objects.

youth organisation for people aged 10-26 years. Clubs arrange a weekly programme of events for their members including talks, visits and social activities. As well as weekly meetings members can also participate in sports, drama, quizzes, public speaking, community and conservation projects. Membership is open to anyone, whether they have an agricultural background or not

TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF OLDER PEOPLE NO LONGER IN FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE FACILITIES AND RESOURCES TO THIS END.

1) To promote the advancement of training for the land based employment within Derbyshire and surrounding geographical area.2) To support other organisations in maintaining standards related to the awards. 3) Facilitate the recruitment and training of verifiers for awards related to land based work.4) Liaise with other training & education providers to enhance opportunities.

Provides coordination for the WI in Buckinghamshire; advances the education of women and girls in important local and national political and social issues, music, drama and other cultural subjects, agriculture, crafts, home economics, science, health and social welfare; promotes sustainable development; advances health and advances citizenship by promoting civic responsibility and volunteering.

The Essex Agricultural Society aims to raise the profile of the food and farming industry to the general public and to act as a route for communication between the Society, its members, the farming and non-farming communities and schools.

Funding projects and activities which help to preserve and protect the buildings, character, aspect and amenities of the rural environment especially in the parishes of Lockinge and Ardington.

Cartmel Agricultural Society organises & operates an agricultural show open to the general public. The show acts as a link between rural communities, farmers and the public. It attracts many visitors who learn about rural life and farming systems.

To work with the local community to restore the former Derby Canal as a navigable waterway from Sandiacre to Swarkestone via Derby as close as possible to the original route, creating a cruising ring and reconnecting Derby to the national canal network maximising the sustainable economic, job creation, environmental, nature conservancy, leisure, heritage and educational benefits for all.

To facilitate music-making activities for people of all ages living in the villages/towns of Wiltshire, through presenting and performing music. To promote the study and practice of music, especially in its social and co-operative forms. To conduct negotiations with any government, local, municipal or other authorities on matters affecting the study and practice of music in Wiltshire.
