To advance the education of young members of the public in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects and in the interests of such members to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations.

The Charity is emerging from an extensive period of re-structuring, supported heavily by volunteers.In place, a new five year business plan with a focus on those not in education, employment and training. Themes: BUILDING CAPACITY; SUPPORTING LOCAL SELF-HELP PARTNERSHIPS; PROMOTING COMMUNITY TALENTS AND THE ARTS

The Charity operates in the Marple and District area of Stockport MBC. It seeks to improve local amenities, protect the environment and preserve local heritage.

To educate the community regarding their heritage within the town of Corsham. To keep a watching brief on all developments, buildings etc within the town's boundaries. To promote good talks to the members and to attract new members of the public to join the society. To encourage the youth of the community to take greater interest in their surroundings.

The mission of Hereford Civic Society is to encourage high standards of architecture and town planning in Hereford. In pursuit of these aims we work with the Local Authority on built environment matters, scrutinise planning applications, hold regular public meetings, publish a quarterly newsletter and organise study visits.

TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTIONAL RULES OF THE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.

Principally providing grants for underprivileged children transferring from primary to secondary school.Also some assistance for students entering university. Beneficaries must live within the area of the former Elland Urban District Council as at 1st April 1974.

To encourage the conservation of buildings of architectural and historic interest; to promote good architecture and town planning; to increase and develop public amenities; and to create a greater awareness of the environment in Newark.

A rural youth movement for young people aged 10-26 years. Members gain recognised skills and confidence in many activities such as public speaking, drama and entertainments, sports, stock-judging and stock presentation. The opportunity to travel and attend meetings and social events to fundraise for their club and the local community. This is a member led organisation.

THE PROVISION OF POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR RURAL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 TO 28

The village hall provides a venue for a range of community activities including a Sewing Bee, Pilates classes, Flicks in the Sticks, Annual Fete, Parish Lunch, Harvest Festival etc

BCS's work as a charity mainly concentrates in Birmingham,we intend to improve the life chances and the aspirations of the disadvantaged children through supporting their families into employment.People from South Asia and the Africa are concentrated in these areas and research has shown that the level of academic achievement is very poor.Our goal is to improve their overall quaility of life.

Develop opportunity for service in the community with high ethical standards and advancement of International understanding

We can only donate to individuals and organisations within the boundaries of the old urban district of Littleborough.

THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN CITIZENSHIP, PUBLIC QUESTIONS, CULTURAL SUBJECTS, HOME ECONOMICS, HEALTH AND SOCIAL WELFARE

We operate within the area of agriculture, horticulture and related activities and offer bursaries towards the cost of qualifications.

Capital expenditure on village amenities and support of the poor residents of Mears Ashby.

Promoting Civic Pride in Chippenham,ensuring that the heritage of Chippenham is preserved and seeking to ensure that new buildings are sympathetic to their surroundings. Seeking to stimulate interest of the general public through issuing a quarterly magazine to members and a programme of talks and visits. Collaboration with the local museum and council on subjects of mutual interest.

The Objects of the Society are:-a) To stimulate public interest in the Gidea Park Area.b) To promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area.c) To secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the area. All of the above remain the current activities of the Society's Committee and its members.

Promoting high standards of planning, conservation and regeneration for the benefit of the local community in Godalming and Farncombe.

We provide money to enhance patients amenities. This last year we have provided a specialised nail drill for Podiatry dep. We provide money at Christmas and Easter. We support the concept of the hospital and continually fight for its survival.We are working with the LHB and comunity to provide a list of health provission for our rural area

The Woolton Society exists to promote high standards of planning and architecture and to work to preserve and improve features of historic or public interest or amenity in the Woolton area of Liverpool.

Relief in need to persons in the Urban District of Wigston who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress, by making grant of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

Soup & puddings, polling venue, young farmers, various childrens parties, keep fit classes and other community events.

PROVIDING EDUCATION, TRAINING, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, TRAVEL, SKILL DEVELOPMENT FOR THOSE LIVING IN RURAL COMMUNITIES WITHIN THE COUNTIES LISTED.
