As part of the larger WI movement,we aim to enable women interested in rural life, including arts,crafts and sciences to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance our education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international. We seek to give women the opportuniy of working together to put these ideals into practice.

Provides grants for mantenance of village amenities provided by the Parish Council and Parochial Church Council.

Education and development of young people through a variety of activities and competitions including public speaking, stock judging, cookery and sports. 10 clubs across the county organise their own weekly meeting. Emphasis on social, fundraising and travel opportunities too.

The WI offers opportunities for all women to enjoy friendship, to learn, to widen their horizons. It aims to improve and develop the quality of life, particularly in rural areas, for women and their families. To advance the education of women in citizenship and in public issues - national and international; to enable women to work together.

To improve and develop conditions of rural life and to advance the education of country women in citizenship, in public questions both national and inter-national, in music, drama and other cultural subjects, also to secure instruction and training in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.

General charity purposes, land management, 9 acres known as Baggards Land, currently on mixed purposes educational and agricultural let to Ashperton Academy for 5 year term expires 1st April 2025. Charity gives Christmas Money to applicants and OAP who apply with hardship criteria . Student /Apprenticeship grant for boys & girls attained the age of 17 years.

ROGER GOODFELLOW TRUST WAS ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED IN 1730 TO GIVE RELIEF FROM PROVERTY WITHIN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. THE TRUST INCOME IS FROM RENT RECEIVED FROM THE TRUST'S AGRICULTURAL LAND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WITHIN THE PARISH OF FIFEHEAD NEVILLE, WHICH INCLUDES FIFEHEAD ST.QUINTIN. THE CHARITY PROVIDES GRANTS WHICH BENEFIT INDIVIDUALS OR THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.

The preservation and safeguarding what is good in the character of the Upper Itchen Valley. The protection of the area from actions which may be detrimental to the amenities and scenic beauty of its rural character.The discouragement of undesirable destruction and disturbance of wildlife.The encouragement of the preservation of historic buildings of special interest.

Meetings are held on a regular basis throughout the year. The programme throughout the year included talks, meetings and visits. Socially throughout the year members have organised interclub nights and a summer do. Involvement in the local community has entailed carol singing and the Grand Draw and Whist Drive at Christmas and also promoting YFC.

W.I. purposes ass with rural life

The Portsmouth Society is an independent voluntary organisation interested in preserving the best of Portsmouth's environment: buildings, streets, open spaces and seashore, & in encouraging well designed new buildings and amenities.We are the local Civic Society, registered with Civic Voice, a national body working to make the places where everyone lives more attractive, enjoyable & distinctive.

Cattistock WI is in a rural area with women meeting to improve living conditions, advance education and enter political debate regarding key local and other issues. Members develop a range of skills and appreciation of arts and crafts, home economics and advice on health and social welfare.

To promote high standards of planning & architecture, the preservation, protection, development of features of historic or public interest in Tenby and its neighbourhood.

To distribute income from capital for the advancement of education and training in practical agriculture and horticulture within the county of Warwickshire.

It was set up to conserve the older buildings in Glastonbury. It looks at planning applications and opposes those which are not in harmony with the town. It also helps to preserve the countryside by helping to plant apple trees and other native trees as well as maintaining footpaths. It organises lectures in the winter months and walks in the summer and publishes newsletters.

The Brighton Society covers Brighton & Hove and immediate surroundings. It is designed to stimulate public interest in the area; promote high standards of planning, architecture and design, as well as improve features of the urban and natural environment of historic, townscape or public interest. Newsletters and illustrated talks demonstrate issues in which the Society has been involved.

Preserve the rural character of West Malling and its environs, preserve local bildings and places of historic interest or artistic distiction, protect the srrounding counrtyside, eliminate and prevent bad design and neglect, encourage high standards or architecture and planning, stimulate piblic interest in good appearance and community of West Malling

The main purpose of the WI organisation is to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life including arts, crafts and sciences to improve and develope conditions of rural life. It gives women the opportunity to work together and put into practice the ideals for which it stands.

A rural charity for young people aged between 10-26 years, where they can learn new rural skills and achieve confidence through public speaking competitions, stockjudging and running their own club and fundraising for themselves and the local community. Members also learn to participate in team events such as sports, drama and entertainments, choir and dancing. This is a member led organisation.

Swansea Lions Club aims to promote and support the following good causes:-* the advancement of citizenship and community development* the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disability * the advancement of health or the saving of lives* the advancement of education at home.

TO AFFORD RELIEF AND EMPLOYMENT TO DESERVING JEWS IN DISTRESS, WHETHER THEY ARE BELIEVERS IN CHRISTIANITY OR NOT, AND TO TEACH THEM AGRICULTURE OR OTHER TRADES, SO AS TO HELP THEM TO BECOME SELF SUPPORTING.
