Education Charities

The relief of persons suffering from cancer and leukaemia by providing financial support to the Chartwell unit situated in The Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough, Kent or such other hospitals or organisations as the trustees may determine, to purchase equipment, and by any other charitable means which the trustees determine.

Support for people in ministry at times of stress or crisis. Retreat and education resources open to everyone. Self-catering accommodation for schools, churches, community, family and special needs groups.

The charities current activities is the advancement of the Evangelical Christian Faith in the UK and all other parts of the world. This encompasses Prison ministry, pre-independence homes, orphanages, bible schools, medical care, camping and conference facilities, student sponsorship and education. Currently the main area of operation is in the Ukraine.

The Congregation of Josephites aims to support such charitable purposes which advance the Roman Catholic religion and religious education and other charitable works carried on by members of the Congregation and to care for those members throughout their lives who have committed themselves to the Congregation.

The advancement of education of pupils in schools through the raising of standards and development of high quality learning and teaching by: Promoting programmes of initial training, education and professional development of teachers; Representing, supporting and developing the interests of schools-led teacher training; Providing a forum for sharing information and evidence-based research.

HCGA manages 4 community garden sites in Shepherds Bush, a glasshouse in Ravenscourt Park & Phoenix Farm in White City. We run volunteer programmes for people of all ages and abilities. In addition we work in local schools providing a range of gardening activities. We run environmental play activities, adult education classes & maintenance contracts. HCGA also works in Westminster and RBKC.

CurvingRoad works to increase public engagement, awareness and appreciation of theatre and the arts by- Conceiving, producing and staging theatre productions- Supporting and mentoring emerging theatremakers and artists working in other art forms- Establishing creative hubs, providing working space and facilities for artists and the wider creative community to develop their practice

Oxford Hub brings people and organisations together to make Oxford a better place for everyone. Our activities are focused on volunteering and social action opportunities for residents and university students. We also support collaboration initiatives across different sectors to tackle Oxfordshire's social and environmental issues.

For the muslim community, to provide daily prayers and Islamic education.

Our main activities in furtherance of the Charity objects and for the public benefit have been environmental initiatives. The Charity has donated fruit trees to over twenty five primary schools, given away over five hundred whip trees through community events, and most notably partnered with Camden Council to plant trees in council estates.

The charity is made up of 2 nursery settings for children aged 0 to 4 years in a Suffolk village. We also run a Before and After School Club for children aged 5-11.

Providing training courses in the skill of watchmaking; and fostering, promoting and expanding the public interest in the skill of watchmaking.

Church services, regular/occasional events to benefit the local community, prayer meetings, drop-in sessions, a community cafe, parish nursing supporting the community towards whole person welfare, mother and toddler groups, a food bank, healthy eating cooking courses, youth groups, holiday clubs and after school clubs. We will add other activities to meet identified community needs.

The Charity runs a programme of intensive, residential courses each year giving attendees a chance to study selected historic houses and collections on specially arranged visits accompanied by specialist tutors and lecturers.

The charity's principal objectives during the period were the promotion of lifelong learning throughout the Diocese, effect being given to the belief that all true education must be based on Christian principles, and the promotion and stimulation of religious education according to the doctrines of the Church of England.

The advancement of education through the distribution of the net income of the Trust to Howell's School, Llandaff in South Wales for the maintenance of the girls' school, and the provision of more general educational support for young people throughout North Wales via Thomas Howell's Education Fund for North Wales.
