Protection of rainforest ecosystems in Indonesian Borneo, to safeguard the island's unique biodiversity, the livelihoods and cultures of rural communities, and enhance its global conservation values to mitigate the climate crisis. Working with ex-offenders to improve their employability. Promoting the benefits of re-use and recycling as a contribution towards a sustainable lifestyle.

River catchment conservation measures for the Yorkshire Dales Rivers, namely the Wharfe, Nidd, Ure and Swale. The YDRT also supports and sponsors research and education to inform the public of the importance river habitat conservation for supporting biodiversity, for improving water quality and for oublic recreation and enjoyment.

Work with local authorities, businesses and others to protect, manage and enhance land for wildlife.Promote lifelong learning in environmental matters through a programme of education and training.Manage its nature reserves.Work with local partners to ensure that wildlife and natural places contribute to the environmental, social and economic regeneration of the Tees Valley.

1) advancing education for the public benefit of supporting study and research into wildlife and into conservation of wildlife in any part of the world and the dissemination to the public of the result of such study; and2) promoting the efficiency and effectiveness of the voluntary sector including by encouraging and supporting innovation and providing training, services and support.

THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS ("OBJECTS) ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE PROMOTION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF THE CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE PHYSICAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT FROMPLASTIC WASTE.

For the public benefit, to further such charitable purposes according to the law of England and Wales as the trustees see fit from time to time. SOFA PROJECT IS A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE WITH THE CHARITABLE AIMS OF SUPPORTING THE REHABILITATION OF PRISONERS THROUGH WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN THE ORGANISATION. THESE ACTIVITIES MAINLY COMPRISE THE RE-USE OF UNWANTED/DONATED FURNITURE AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCES BY REFURBISHING THEM AND SUPPLYING THEM AT LOW PRICES TO PEOPLE ON LOW INCOMES.

PATT Foundation currently works to campaign for better environmental practices, take action against climate change, implement small to medium tree planting projects as well as set up tree nurseries, provide environmental education. The charity also supports veterans welfare via nature based therapy courses and engagement on nature based tasks to support post traumatic growth.

Orangutan Appeal UK is dedicated to preserving the endangered great ape of Asia, the orangutan, and its rainforest habitat. Orangutan Appeal UK not only raises funds to help the orangutans of Borneo but also aims to spread awareness of their plight.

The charity promotes for the public benefit the conservation and protection of the natural environment by promoting biological diversity, in particular but not exclusively by acquiring land for the planting of natural and native species woodland and providing support to other charitable organisations with similar objectives that wish to do the same. The Pickwell Foundation is a grant making Trust which focuses on supporting charities working in the following 2 areas:1) Those working with people who have been displaced2) Those working in the area of 'climate change'The foundation has a mix of grants to local charities based in the South-West of England, those working nationally and those working internationally.

We are a grant making trust supporting many animal & wildlife charities throughout the UK but primarily in Yorkshire & Humberside.Grants are made each May & November to both local organisations but also local branches of national animal welfare charities.

WORK-LINK is a Hinckley Charity, based on the Recycling of furniture/electricals. It provides sheltered, meaningful opportunities to help unemployed individuals, who are not ready/able to embark on a more formal training/educational programme or to directly enter employment. It is an integrated scheme catering for a variety of people, many of whom have special needs, including mental ill health.
