Facilities Charities That specialise in Green space

A horticultural society & gardening club for the local village and surrounding areas. We aim to increase interest in gardening and assist members to increase their understanding of the potential of their gardens.

Miscellaneous sums to support the provision of parks and open spaces.

We are a community park with a childrens Play area and Large grassed area. Local Football, Cricket and Bowls Clubs also use the facilities. We also hold annual events such as our village Carnival, community food fair and firework display.

Provision and maintenance of a public park for the enjoyment of the inhabitants of Burgess Hill and Mid Sussex district.

The Society organises an annual Music Festival of mostly competitive classes held in 3 or 4 venues in the seaside town of Hornsea over a period of either 3 or 4 days. It is held during the first week of July. Fund raising social events such as Coffee Mornings and Garden Parties may be held at other times throughout the year.

Maintenance and management of Local Nature Reserve for public access, and associated activities, by voluntary means.

We are a locally run community centre for the benefit of the local residents. The Church hold monthly services, green space for residents and local children. Fund raising events are held regularly and we have regular users of the centre.

As one of now 37 county trusts the WGT shares the common purpose of the identification, conservation and wellbeing of parks, gardens & green spaces. The WGT seeks to raise public awareness of these parks and gardens by promoting their appreciation through a programme of lectures, visits, seminars & newsletters. In addition looking to contribute to the nationwide database (init by the AGT).

Tonbridge Civic Society's main interest is in the care for the beauty, history and character of Tonbridge and its vicinity. It keeps a record of listed and important buildings. It maintains contact with the local Council to maintain high standards of architecture and town planning. It presents awards for high standards of design, promotes footpaths and cycleways. It publishes a regular newsletter.

MAINTAIN THE TOWN TRUST LAND, FOOTPATHS AND RIVERBANK FOR THE VILLAGE AND TOURISTS TO ENJOY

Provision of village green/public open space

For the support of residents in the town of Winslow only.To run and maintain allotments on the Charities land.

Provision of buildings and open space for community use.Provision of public library.Provision of recreation ground.

Receives donations from members of the Association (all being Freemasons) and then distributes them to charities (whether or not registered) at the direction of the members.The recipients may be individuals, charitable organisations, hospices, hospitals, churches, old peoples homes, special schools, disaster appeals and the like.

Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

Formation and establishment of a public museum for the benefit of the inhabitants of Clayton le Moors, and the laying out of gardens and a public park for the same purpose.

Maintaining the village pavilion and village green.

NATURE RESERVE PARK WITH ONE PLAY AREAS AND A CAFE AND EDUCATION ROOM.TWO TOILETS AND A CAR PARK

Knitted garments for Zimbabwe & local hospital. Xmas shoe boxes. Donation to ACWW. Fundraising events annually for a designated charity.

Stimulate public interest in the area (provided visitor car park, heritage features, information boards). Encourage high standards of planning & architecture. Conserve, develop and protect features of historic, or natural interest (won Britain in Bloom Best Village, developed walks). Improve amenities ( newsletter to all houses), village activities, Open Gardens Day, Luddenden Heritage Day).

To provide children with additional needs and their siblings / family a day out to remember, starting with a ride out in a Motorbike and Sidecar to a local place of interest, including Theme Parks, Zoo's and more. To help carers and families by providing them with a days outing, thus hopefully improving their quality of life. To raise funds throughout the year, to make the day happen.

Provision of Allotment land for those in the Parish, grazing for animals with income raised from these being of benefit to the elderley of the parish at Christmas

Providing Students under the age of 25 with money for educational /religious purposes.Also provide money for local Primary School & Church for religious /recreational activities.
