The museum commemorates the poet William Cowper, who lived in the house from 1768 to 1786, and his friend the preacher, hymnwriter and slave trade abolitionist John Newton (author of 'Amazing Grace'). It holds an important collection of lace and items relating to the archaeology and history of Olney and its surrounding villages. The historic gardens include Cowper's original summer house/study.

HOWDEN SHIRE HALL TRUST.Providing a Hall for the people of Howden and the surrounding areas. Recognised as the Hub of Howdenshire and ERYC Tourist Information Point. A place for leisure, entertainment and activities for all generations. Activities include classes, live events, cinema and home to the local weekly Howden Market and Community Cafe.

To benefit children and young persons up to the age of 25 attending, or who have attended, schools in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire and for the provision of recreational facilities for the same age group in the town. Providing allotments and a recreation ground known as sladesbrook. Distributing awards.

To support, encourage and promote a vibrant, happy community spirit through the provision of an accessible, welcoming, safe and versatile space that is available for the enjoyment of a range of activities in Hatfield Peverel.

QUAKING HOUSES VILLAGE HALL ASSOCIATION RUN A VOLUNTEER LED COMMUNITY BUILDING. OFFERING VARIOUS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING GROUPS AND SESSIONS TO MEET LOCALLY IDENTIFIED NEEDS INCLUDING ARTS, EDUCATION, SUPPORT, SPORT, TODDLERS GROUPS AS WELL AS FUN DAYS AND CHILDREN'S BIRTHDAY PARTIES,

The control and management of a Community Centre for the benefit of the inhabitants of Holt, Norfolk, and the neighbourhood.

Provision of outdoor activities and well being projects in our volunteer restored garden in Birkenhead

To support the work and development of the Botanic Garden and to stimulate interest through a variety of events and activities. Income generated by such events, and also from membership subscriptions, is used to invest in new projects in the garden, make a major contribution to its upkeep and support horticultural education through the funding of trainees in the garden.

We provide leisure, educational activities for the local community, and the wider community, at affordable prices.

lOOKS AFTER APPROXIMATELY 10 ACRES OF LAND WHICH IS SPLIT INTO 4 SECTIONS, 3 ARE USED BY A BOWLS CLUB, CRICKET CLUB AND TENNIS CLUB, THE OTHER IS CURRENTLY UNUSED AND MAINTAINED AND CUT BY AN OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR.

General Hire to groups such as: Playgroup, Beavers, Cubs, Guides, Scouts, Tennis, W.I., Parish Council Meetings, Band Practice, Drama, Dancing -Ballroom, Line, Ballet, U3A activities plus a number of other groups.Functions: Weddings, Birthdays, Dances, Education, Sales, Quizes, Shows and fund-raising events for other organisations.

The Youth and Community Centre has various size rooms which are hired to groups of all ages and all organisations.

The Arbury Community Association operates the Arbury Community Centre which provides accommodation, activity spaces, refreshments and other facilities to voluntary organisations, family groups and some businesses.

Organise weekly Sunday worship services; Christian conferences; Christian teaching seminars; Bible studies in homes; a weekly youth club for children 10 years and over; assist in running a summer holiday club for primary school children in the local area; run a free cafe for residents in a new development in North West Cambridge.

Wargrave Pre-School is dedicated to the philosophy of learning through play and encourages children to learn in an enjoyable and stimulating environment. Our curriculum is planned in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage as outlined by the Government's Department of Education.

In accordance with the original objectives of the 1911 trust deed, the King Edward Hall (the village hall) provides facilities for a large number of local organisations and societies for meetings, talks, social events and exhibitions, and for private hirers for social occasions. The management committee also organises fund-raising events eg the annual village run & village day & cinema shows. The

The charity acts as a community centre catering mainly for the elderly and children of African-Caribbean origin or descent with the Borough of Brent and neighbouring boroughs.
