History walks and talks.Books on local history and Christmas Cards in the area of Wapping and Shadwell, east London.

To restore and maintain for the public benefit religious buildings of any Christian denomination connected with the above.To further the foregoing objects: To collect, maintain and preserve documents, books, pictures and photographs recording or relating to the history and traditions of the clan.

Speakers educating on various subjects -health, history, food, gardening, crafts and sports.

Bitterne WI enables women to extend their interest in crafts. history,citizenship,music and drama. It provides a meeting place for women to socialise and to work to improve their community.As part of the wider organisation of WIs it takes part in aiming to influence national issues especially those affecting women and family life.

Current activities include lectures, archaeological digs, looking at local building planning applications and lobbying about listed buildings.

The Wembley History Society has been established for over 60 years. We hold monthly meetings, social functions and visits regarding the hisotry of the area. We have members and the general public attending. Speakers from coucellors to teachers have given/give talks. We keep a keen eye on the changing structure of our area.

Primary aim is to care for the beauty, history and character of Tiverton Town and its environs. Motto - Watch & Ward. Organise range of lectures, information plaques, heritage walks and social activities. Keep in close touch with the Town, Mid Devon District and Devon County Councils. Registered with Civic Trust and Outer SW Federation of Civic Societies and member of Devon Conservation Forum.

The Society aims to encourage conservation of the character and traditions of Wokingham, promotes the study of history of Wokingham and interest in the town's heritage and provide grants from the Society's funds to relevant local organisations.

The primary objective of the Society as set out in our constitution is the educationof the public in the history of the Borough of Woking District and nearby parishes.This is attained mainly by organising talks and outings. We also undertake research into local topics.

VAHS exists to advance the historical understanding and analysis of voluntary action. We organise seminars and occasional conferences and have a membership of academics, practitioners and those interested in the subject.

Family History Research

The society works to preserve and protect the history, heritage and environment of the village of East Preston (West Sussex) and the surrounding area.

Raise funds to provide educational activities eg invite speakers from a range of interests such as photography, bee keeping, local historical sites. Hold an annual harvest auction, where net proceeds are used to subsidise coach trips to places of interest eg lavender farm, Buckfast Abbey etc. Additionally, donations are made to other charitable bodies e.g. cancer research, local food bank etc.

Recording Natural History mainly in Leicestershire and specifically in Charnwood Forest

Promoting, and collecting and providing information on, the history of the village of Bletchingley. Promoting conservation of the village and its environment.

Village Civic Society including planning matter, local history and conservation.

Observes, studies and records natural history in all its aspects in and around Southampton and promotes, organises and ecourages the education of the public in the study of, and advancement of, knowledge in natural history in all branches. Cooperates with national and county organisations promoting conservation. Holds field meetings, lectures and exhibitions.

To preserve for Newcastle upon Tyne and the nation, historical and architectural buildings and associated artefacts concerned with the development of railways.

TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN WHITBY ABBEY IN PARTICULAR WITH REGARD TO ITS HISTORY AND ITS PRESENT USE AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION

To supervise the assets of three merged historical charities and to distribute the income, as defined by the original trust deed, to the poor of the parish of Weybread in Suffolk.
