The objects are for the relief of persons suffering from mental distress and disorder including particularly persons within the city of Oxford and the surrounding district and in particular for the following purposes:1. To provide for the rehabilitation of the disabled, and2. To provide them with opportunities for theraputic work, training, work placement and support to gain employment

The trust receives and invests funds in support of the maintenance and preservation of the Royal Albert Hall, a Grade 1 listed building of historic and cultural significance, and of the work of the Hall in seeking to advance education for public benefit by the provision of such instructive activities that relate to the Hall as the Trustees shall from time to time determine.

To maintain the heritage site of the Shire Hall and its collections for access by the general public to learn about the law and its history. We are a membership organisation for those interested in the history and archaeology of Sussex. We open six historic properties to the visiting public. The October Gallery is an arts complex dedicated to the appreciation of the transvangarde - the cross-cultural avant garde. The Gallery hosts exhibitions of art from around the world, talks on art and science, poetry readings, theatre and dance performances. Support is from sales of art, rental of the Gallery's unique facilities, grants, donations, staff, volunteers and friends.

Gladstone's residential Library is a resource for theology/spirituality, history/current affairs and literary culture.
