1, Encouraging and promoting appreciation of the fine arts with reference to the Ferens Art Gallery. 2, Providing money for purchase of pictures etc at the Ferens Art Gallery. 3, Providing pictures on loan or by gift to the permanent collection of the Ferens Art Gallery.

To support the operation of the Colchester Museums and to enhance it's collections.

To promote the National Museum Wales. To raise funds to support museum projects. To act in an ambassadorial role. To convey views to the Museum when requested.

The principle activities of the charity involve the provision of residential services and support for mental and physical restoration of persons suffering from drug and alcohol abuse or similar problems.

To advance the education of the public by the promotion and encouragement of the study of the culture and history of France in the seventeenth century by means of the holding of meetings, by publications and by other means as may be deemed proper.

Our charity's current activities continue to ensure the continuity of worship in Dore Abbey. The (12) Building involves an on-going expense of fabric maintenance. Guided tours continue to promote the education of the public in the historical & archaeological treasures of our ancient church. Music, drama events are organised during the summer months for the benefit of the public.

Provides assistance to existing pupils and past scholars of Lord Williams's School, Thame, normally by way of book grants. Surplus funds are applied to purchase of books/equipment for the school.

To advance the education of the public in the history and development of cricket by establishing and operating a museum for the permanent exhibition and presentation of education and/or historic value and particularly in regard to the Somerset County Cricket Club.

We maintain a local and family history collection of objects, books, photographs and local history archive material from which we provide a service to the public via attendance at the local library, at events and fairs. We encourage interest in conserving and preserving the historical built environment and in improvements to the quality of new planning and buildings.

Community hall run by a SMALL group of volunteers. The hall is used by a variety of groups including =Drama & Dancing. Local council activities.Art & Crafts.Over 60s group. Pre School group.The hall is also hired out to various organisation which promote learning and development.

Organises research and recording of historic gardens and parks in Kent, gives advice to planning authorities, makes grants to students and horticultural charities, generates lectures on the history, design and planning of gardens and garden visits.

Research into local history in the Neston and Burton areas in Wirral. Publish books on local history from this research. Hold lectures for our members and the public and arrange outings for our members. Support local history activities in local libraries and civic centres.

Fund raising events are held locally. They include a Classic Car Run, a Cycling Sportive & a stall at the Victorian Day. Some donations are made directly by members of the Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury to Rotary International's own charity (the Rotary Foundation).Funds raised go partly towards grants to registered charities (local & international). Some goes to individuals who meet our aims.

The charity publishes a quarterly journal, London Archaeologist, containing excavation and fieldwork reports, research and topical articles covering the archaeology and history of the London region. It seeks to educate Londoners and the wider public about the study and practice of archaeology and act as a focus and forum for all those working on or interested in London's archaeology and heritage.

The aims of the Trust are:1) to assist former members of Wye College who are in need,2) to assist people who have taken a course at the Wye campus to undertake postgraduate studies,3) to support education and research in agriculture, horticulture and the rural environment.

Fund raising activities in order to contribute towards the repairs and restoration of the ancient Norman Church of Peasmarsh

Burry Port Town Band is a traditional brass band located in Burry Port. The band was founded in 1896 and has a rich and proud history. The band organises a number of concerts, fundraising events and also supports community & charitable organisations across South Wales and relies on donations and money raised. We also have a Junior Band.

To acquire, restore and preserve ex-British Rail diesel shunters although a small number of non-ex British Railways other vehicles are also in this category.

The promotion and encouragement of family history, genealogy and associated studies with particular reference to the area that made up the former County of Avon. The society publishes a quarterly journal, holds meetings and talks open to all, operates a website, maintains a research room which offers assistance to members and non-members, and organises and supports Fairs and outreach events.

Formed in 1991 as a co-ordinating body with statutory authorities, commercial, charitable and volunteer bodies, groups and individuals with an interest in securing the protection and improvement of landscape and features of geological, geographical, archaeological, historical, ecological and architectural interest in and around the Yorkshire Wolds.

To preserve the White Mill windmill, Millers cottage, & associated buildings at the Heritage Centre by regular inspection, maintenance & repair. To collect & display artefacts reflecting the past rural life of Sandwich & the surrounding district in order to communicate an understanding of our past to the widest audience, especially schools. To strengthen the local heritage tourism profile.

To advance public education about all aspects of Arab Islamic culture, including architecture, visual arts, music and literature by holding lectures and exhibitions and receiving applications for grants, support or sponsorship

The Society encourages and assists people worldwide who are researching family or general history related to Dyfed (Cardiganshire, Carmarthenshire, and Pembrokeshire). A journal about people, places and social history is published. There are branches in Cardigan, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Llandovery, Llanelli and London, each with a programme of meetings to educate or to help with research.
