Stimulating local interest in the preservation of the architectural beauty of Wisbech.Encouraging the creation of good modern buildings which generations to come will consider worthy of preservation.Representing the views of the Society to local, county and other authorities and to co-operate with them to secure these ends.Helping in every way the cultural life of Wisbech.

Research and publish local history of Poole and surrounding areas

The charity exists to educate the public by the promotion, support, assistance and improvement of the William Morris Gallery through the activities of a group of Friends. Funds raised are used to help the Gallery to make acquisitions and to support its development: following a fund-raising drive, the Gallery reopened to the public in August 2012.

Raise funds for the benefit of the Village Hall in the form of low key events to provide income for the maintenance and upkeep of the Village Hall

To provide a Museum of local history for Lutterworth and the surrounding villages,open for public access. We also give talks and put on displays at other venues including schools.

Church House, Crowcombe, provides in its medieval Gallery a venue for exhibitions, courses and social functions. A Meeting Room is also available for smaller events, including educational.

The principal focus of the trust's activities during the 2020-2021 has been the welfare of the Town Hall. In addition the trust has been continued support the development of the museum group and is helping steer them towards independence. The market continues to bring steady income which also helps support maintenance of the town hall.

To provide accommodation for the purpose of education,training and social activities for people of all ages and backgrounds and facilities as a general meeting hall for all village activities.The main activities being - Gardening Association, Social Clubs, Village History Association, private parties and general meeting hall for Whilton residents and their visitors

To commemorate the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the district during the war 1939 - 1945 whose names appear on the plaque erected in the Memorial Hall.We maintain and run the Memorial Hall to provide facilities for the local community to encourage the provision of education, social welfare, recreation and leisure activities.

The Unit runs archaeological projects in Kent and S.E London on threatened sites, including watching briefs, excavations, publication and preservation. Its education work involves two major Roman monuments open to the public with activity schools workshops. The unit is managed by its committee and many volunteers.

Fosters and promotes the study and publication of local history in Oxfordshire. Publishes a regular news bulletin and an occasional journal and organises two study days a year. Acts as an umbrella organisation for parish and other local history groups. Makes occasional small grants to individuals and organisations to facilitate the study of Oxfordshire local history.

To promote, for the benefit and education of the public, the study of genealogy, family history and local history, with particular reference to the County of Powys; and to promote the preservation, security and accessability of library and archival materials.

The Society was founded to encourage the knowledge and study of history within Battle and the surrounding area. This is achieved through a programme of illustrated lectures by specialists in their subjects and the publication of books and journals that are relevant to the local history of Battle.

It aims to promote interest in archaeology, both in the local area and further a field, through a programme of lectures, excursions, publications and fieldwork.

Fund raising to support the museum and recruitment, training and organisation of volunteers to provide stewards and other voluntary effort.

Founded in 1973, The Deepings 1090 Round Table meets fortnightly and is currently 14 members strong. Throughout our 35 year history, we have raised significant sums for charity with over -ú100,000 being raised in the last 10 years alone. The Deepings 1090 Round Table is affiliated to the Round Table for Britain and Ireland

The Society's purpose is to publish learned works on natural history, with special but not exclusive relevance to the British flora and fauna, which might not otherwise be published as considered not to be commercially viable.

Promotes the interests and priorities of Chinese studies in the UK at all levels; offers advice and support for people and institutions involved in the study of China incl. universities, schools, museums etc.; liaises with Area Studies organisations, government, funding bodies incl. HEFCE, AHRC & EHRC, business organisations; organises an Annual Conference (Sept) and publishes annual Bulletin.

Educating Local Schools on Local history. Researching Genealogy for people World Wide.Talks to various organisations on Historyof Marazion.Preserving the artefacts which very kind local people have loaned to the Museum.

To advance the knowledge of local history of the Borough of Cricklade, Wiltshire, including the Parishes of Latton, Down Ampney, Marston Meysey, Kempsford, Ashton Keynes, Castle Eaton and The Leigh.

To promote the work of West Sussex Record Office and help buy documents for it. To encourage research into the local history of West Sussex and original documents. To hold meeting for the membership per year, including the AGM. To publish four Newsletter and a Journal annually.

To raise and receive funds for the restoration and development of the Cathedral.

Support the Museum of the Staffordshire Yeomanry in the High House, Stafford so that it may be a tribute to the men of Staffordshire who served in the war and an interesting social history for today's public. The Charity relies on donations and gifts to meet its objectives
