Researching and recording the history of Bideford, Northam and the surrounding district, including the indexing of the Bideford Gazette newspaper. Publishing booklets on aspects of local history .Creating topic packs on local history primarily for use by schools. Assisting members of the public who wish to research local and family history

Lady's Creative Centre is a charity to help women from different backgrounds/cultures to release their talent and find a place in the community. Activities include classes in painting/drawing (for both members and tenants of local estates), and in Spanish, yoga, craft. Also fundraising, social & special events, exhibitions, and a dolls house museum. It also helps priority and disadvantaged people.

To promote high standards of planning and architecture, to educate the public in the geography, history, natural history and architecture, to secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of features of historic or public interest in the area of benefit.

To promote high standards of planning, urban design and architecture in or affecting Coventry. To preserve and to promote understanding and appreciation of the built landscape and environmental heritage and the history of Coventry. To hold meetings, lectures and exhibitions. To educate public opinion and give appropriate advice and information to enable active citizenship.

We publish record sources for the study of Somerset history.

Provides funding for the maintenance and repair of the Fletching Parish Church. During the last two years we have funded Roof repairs and an Intruder alarm (to protect the lead roof).

Monthly meetings held from September to April with speaker talks on local history and history further afield. Activities include Field trips; Summer evening walks; Monthly e-Newsletter and Website. We manage an Archives Centre with online catalogue for documents / items relating to Marple, Marple Bridge, Mellor, Compstall, Hawk Green, High Lane and Strines. We work with likeminded organisations.

The advancement of education at Birkenhead School by providing scholarship funds

Campaigning to preserve, conserve and restore the Sankey Canal, to build a new link to the national waterway network and to promote and stimulate public interest in and usage of the canal.

The preservation and restoration of rolling stock and associated equipment from narrow-gauge military, industrial and agricultural railways.

We gave grants to projects in Russia helping families with children with muscular dystrophy. Since 2022, we no longer work in Russia, nor finance the library we created, The Prince George Galitzine Memorial Library at 46 Fontanka Embankment, St Petersburg, our aim was to preserve Russian history of the 20th Century through books. We hope to continue to find cultural projects to promote elsewhere

Encouraging the study of and interest in local history and archeology in all its aspects with a special reference to the history of Pinner and its environs. To publish the results of members' research in the society's NEWSLETTER and in published books

The Society organises an annual programme of lectures (October to April) on local history and archaeology as well as excursions for members during the summer to sites of historical interest. The Society undertakes research and publishes historical books and periodicals. Its archives contain a wider range of material (e.g., maps, letters, photographs, taped interviews).

The Friends of St Mary's is a charitable organisation whose main objective is to raise funds for the maintenance and preservation of the historic building of St Mary's Church Hemel Hempstead. Members of the friends are drawn from the congregation and from the community in general. The friends organise fundraising events and offer practical assistance throughout the year.

The preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement and beautification of Binham Priory. The trust played a lead role in the project,finalised in 2010,to conserve medieval structures and improve physical and intellectual access, . Wider financial support from the public is being encouraged by the change of name allowed in 2012 to emphasis the role of the Friends of Binham Priory formed in 2010.

Village Hall used for all village activities,whist drives, parish council meetings,can be hired by outside bodies for weddings, craft fairs, parties etc.Uses occasionally by D.C.C for craft classes, computer classes

Meets monthly. The Society gives talks on a historical/cultural/educational subjects of interest to the members. There are occasional outings to an area of historical interest.The society opened a Heritage Centre in Builth Wells in 2021. It is run by volunteers.

To provide grants to churches in the Diocese of Leicester for the purpose of maintaining and improving their bell installations.

To apply the income for the promotion of public worship at the Church of S Peter & S Paul Worth in particular by the restoration, repair and upkeep of the fabric and fixtures of the church including the provision of heating and electrical apparatus and drainage, water supply and sewerage equipment. To include the restoration and repair of monuments, ornaments, furnishings, organ and windows.

Raising funds for the restoration and maintenance of St Kenelm's Church, Alderley, by means of functions, subscriptions, covenants, donations and investments.

The provision of financial assistance for the repair, upkeep and maintenance of the fabric of the Goodhart Rendal Chancel in the Holy Trinity Church, Coalbrookdale and the fabric, contents and graveyard of Little Ness Church, near Shrewsbury

The purpose of the Charity is to educate, familiarise and provide assistance for research into the history of the development of small arms, including anti-armour and mortars. The collection includes the Travers Library which is over a 1000 books of military history and small arms associated equipment and ancillaries.
