Heritage Charities

To raise funds for the upkeep and repair of the fabric of St. Peter's Church, Hall Green, Birmingham. Fundraising activities are mainly local to the church and generally consist of local events e.g. barbecues, coach trips, supper & entertainment evenings. We also run a Fifty/fifty club on a monthly basis.

Our aim is to promote civic pride in Malmesbury by conserving its built environment, recording its history and maintaining the Riverwalk and Jubilee Garden. We co-operate with the Planning Authority to ensure policies are appropriate for the town and scrutinise & comment on planning applications.

To preserve for the benefit of the people of Buckinghamshire and of the nation at large, the English historical architectural and constructional heritage, which may exist in and around Buckinghamshire in the form of buildings or ancient monuments.

A building preservation trust: Buying historic buildings in need of repair, carrying out the repair and selling to be able to buy the next one.

To promote public knowledge and awareness of natural history and other subjects of environmental interest with particular emphasis upon South Cumbria.

To advance the Christian Religion by the repair, preservation, maintenance, restoration, beautification and reconstruction of the Parish Church of St Margaret's, Rainham, Kent, its monuments, fixtures, fittings, stained glass and other chattels together with its churchyard.

The society arranges lectures for its members during the winter period,of a historical and/or archaeological nature,and during the summer months,excursions to places of historical interest.The society also has a fund from which an annual grant is made to an individual or individuals who are undertaking historical or archaeological research relating to the Canterbury area.

Researches and interprets the history of Ruddington through public lectures, publications and a museum.

We provide a prgramme of talks through the year on local history topics to members of the society and visitors. These will focus on Plaxtol and our surrounding area in Kent.We also carry out research. We have computerised the Plaxtol Census data from 1841 to 1911, and the church registers from the 17C to present. We are publishing a series of booklets on Victorian life in Plaxtol.

To maintain Warminster Museum and provide monthly lectures at Warminster Library on topics relating to history.

Research and dissemination of information relating to mainly local history and archaeology. Main activity is presenting regular lectures on these topics in Cirencester.

The Charity supports and raises funds to assist the Churches Conservation Trust which has taken on responsibility for the maintenance of the Church-in-the-Field in preserving for the benefit of the nation the church and, if appropriate, historical, architectural and archaeological environmental heritage that may exist around the church.

PROVIDES SERVICES OF RECORDING, OBSERVATION, UNDERSTANDING OF FLORA AND FAUNA OF BRITISH ISLES

A) TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE PUBLIC STUDY OF FAMILY AND LOCAL HISTORY, GENEALOGY, HERALDRY AND DEMOGRAPHY WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE NAME "METCALFE" ( AND ITS VARIANTS) B) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION, SECURITY AND ACCESSABILITY OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL IN RELATION TO THE ABOVE MENTIONED OBJECTS

Collection and publication of archaeological and historical information relating to the former county of Flint.To arrange lectures and discussions, and visits to buildings and sites of historical interest.

The Society is concerned with the maintenance and upkeep of the environment in the village with special emphasis on the Aldwick Duck Pond and it's immediate surroundings. All planning applications within the Parish are monitored and comments made as appropriate. Social functions are arranged both as a means of raising funds but also to contribute to the fostering of a community spirit.

Museum of local history and archaeology relating to Bungay and district.

To observe, record & preserve the flora & fauna by way of field visits throughout the summer and issue an annual report containing the findings.We also carry out a winter programme of talks in order to promote our activities and raise awareness in the community of items of interest or areas of concern regarding the state of the natural history locally

Supplying volunteers, equipment & monetary aid.Publishing occasional publications on a local historical theme

To support the practice by purchasing or reimbursing the practice for the purchase, hire or lease of equipment, fittings and movables to facilitate the treatment and comfort of patients and to improve the patient experience. To pay for or reimburse the practice for the cost of repair and maintenance of said items.

The Charities objectives as set out in its Governing docuement are : for and towards the repair and maintenance of the ancient Parish Church of Enborne. This encompasses not only the physical structure of the Church, but also the Parish Community, to ensure that the Church remains a central point for the Community.

To advance the Christian religion by the preservation repair and adornment of the fabric of the church of the assumption, Hardmead in the county of Buckingham and preserve and enhance the character and amenities of the building together with the ornaments therein.

Archaeological society promoting and supporting research into the occuaption of Roman North East England in general, and the Roman fort at South Shields in particular, through annual conference, Roman re-enactment and publication programme. Also supports the wider archaeology and history of South Shields.

Publishes the journal Northamptonshire Archaeology providing reports on archaeological work carried out in Northamptonshire. Arranges meetings and site visits for society members.

The LHT exists to awaken and improve public appreciation of Britain's architectural heritage; to support the restoration of the buildings and landscapes of Benjamin Henry Latrobe, and to make them available to the public where possible; to encourage academic research into his work; to promote high standards of building and landscape conservation, and to save them from destruction or disfigurement.
