General Scout activities for young people aged 6 to 18. This includes activities such as crafts, camps, hikes, and a number of other outdoor activities.

We are part of The Scout Association, delivering weekly activities for young people aged 6 to 14 across North London. Our programme includes working towards Scout badges, as well as taking part in additional schemes such as the DofE. Alongside our regular meetings, we organise weekend and week-long camping trips. These experiences help young people build confidence and independence.

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts belong to St Josephs Scout Group, which is based in Blundell Road in Luton. They meet once a week doing a variety of activities which are all age appropriate and this includes camping normally once a year.

We help young people to gain experience and qualifications to help and guide them into responsible adulthood. The activities are mainly, sailing, canoeing, boating, engineering etc all under the supervision of well qualified volunteer instructors. Operations well established locally and have a long history. The unit supports community functions in addition to fund raising to maintain the unit.

The provision of indoor and outdoor activities for young people aged 6-18 years, which will aid healthy development of both minds and bodies. Weekly meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, during school term times, for Beavers (6-8 years) and Cubs (9-10.5 years). Weekly meetings are held on Friday evenings, during school term times, for Scouts (10.5 - 14years) and Explorers (14-18years).

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends, having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges. Every week we give almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills for life.

The Village Hall and adjoining land provide a centre for all local residents to pursue educational, recreational and social interests and a range of sporting and outdoor activities.

The 1st Britwell Scout Group provides a range of activities in line with the Scout Association's training programme. Our membership is boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 years.These activities are varied, some examples are: camping, hiking, water and team building.

There is a badge scheme to reward them for trying new things or improving in existing activities.Scouts activities include camping, climbing, canoeing, cycling, hiking, dry skiing, 1st Aid, Scout Craft, Parades, Community, Drama,photography & many other things to help develop young peoples talents.

Cadets can gain skills that assist employers, for example self-confidence, leadership and good communication skills. Further skills learnt by the youngsters include life saving, Seamanship, Canoeing, Navigation, Communications, Sailing, Cookery, Rowing, Swimming, Wind Surfing. The unit also has a very successful band which performs at many local events throughout the year

The group provides scouting activities to children and young people in the villages of Fair Oak and Horton Heath. The group runs a beaver colony, cub pack and scout troop. A full range of weekly activities is provided in school term times, together with regular outdoor pursuits and camps

The 2nd Penrith Scout Group provides a broad range of indoor and outdoor activities for young people - both boys and girls, aged 6 to 8 (Beavers), aged 8 to 10.5 (Cubs) and 10.5 to 14 (Scouts). The different groups meet on weekday evenings at a dedicated scout hut building in the middle of the small town of Penrith, Cumbria.

Youth organisation for 10-18 year olds as fully enrolled uniformed cadets. They are instilled into the nautical traditions - boatwork, sailing, canoeing, sea going experience under sail and power, seamanship, maritime skills (drill and piping), radio communications, electrics, mechanics, cook stewards, band music. The scout group has a splendid headquarters where all the different sections of the group meet, for various activities.The headquarters is also used by other voluntary organisations from time to time. Cadets have taken part in Drill, Sailing, Pulling (rowing), Power and Canoeing Competitions. Football, Adventure Training Expeditions, .22 Shooting. Courses offered to cadets are Seamanship, Mechanical Engineering, Cook Stewards, Writer Stores.Help in the community - collecting for the Poppy Appeal, raising funds for the unit.
