Village Hall which provides facilities for other groups and also to put on our own events such as music festivals, craft shows, Bingo nights, Pub nights, sporting events.

TRAINING AND ACTIVITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 - 18, BASED ON A NAUTICAL THEME. ACTIVITIES INCLUDE WATERBORNE SPORTS, FIRST AID, CAMPCRAFT AND A RANGE OF SPECIALIST SKILLS

Provides sports facilities for general public use - bowling green, football field and 3g 5 a side football courts. Clubhouse providing social meeting area for ex miners, OAP club, gardeners club and general public use.

We run the community centre allowing many organisations to use the facilities. Users are whist, dance, dog training, judo,Slimming World,mucky play for children, get together club for seniors. The hall is also used for childrens parties at weekends. The centre is used as a polling station when required.

Community centre providing opportunities for local residents/general public to meet, book rooms for activities or join one of the many sections and user groups. Presently these include camera club, nursery, karate club, yoga group, pilates group, mother & toddler sessions and a youth drama group.

PROVIDES AND MAINTAINS FACILITIES FOR GROUP AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS W.I., YOGA, KEEP FIT, DANCE CLASSES, LECTURES, PARISH COUNCIL AS WELL AS A RANGE OF FUND RAISING EVENTS.

Cricket club for Children & Adults

To provide recreation facilities for the people of the village of Freiston and surrounding area, and in particular the upkeep of a playing field and community centre.

The charities activities entail all that is necessary for the provision of accommodation and support for the 2nd West Kent (Blackheath) company of the Boys' Brigade. Merriott Village Hall provides and maintains a spacious and well-equipped Hall for the enjoyment of the inhabitants of Merriott and the surrounding area. The hall is used regularly by badminton groups, pilates, yoga, exercise classes, baby classes, short mat bowling, ballroom dancing, children's dance classes and bridge. It is regularly used for occasional events such as weddings and parties.

To provide the inhabitants of the Rede, North Tyne and Coquet valleys and the neighbourhood, in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and leisure occupation, for the purposes of relaxation and with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
