Leisure Charities

Scout group activities include: camps & trips, various activities at HQ: arts & crafts, physical activity, social guidance, towards obtaining badges for various levels of scouting fundraising also undertake for other charities.

The charity provides and maintains a meeting place for the community. It hires out the Hall for meetings including Parish Council, Guides and Brownies, Toddlers, Parish Council, Yoga, Table Tennis as well as fund raising activities.

To provide buildings & equipment for hire to groups, clubs, & the general public in Pontesbury & surrounding villages. The hall is used for plays, bowls, keep fit, slimming classes, broad place, dances, film shows, meetings, craft fairs, equine & computer classes, private parties.

The Society has as its objects the promotion and advancement of aesthetic education and the cultivation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the conservation of our national artistic heritage for the benefit of the public.

To promote and assist the general good of all people residing in Thornhill Lees regardless of race or creed by providing facilities for education, physical and mental recreation and pursuing any activities which are deemed by law to be charitable.

A VILLAGE HALL PROVIDING EDUCATION/TRAINING, ARTS/CULTURE AND SPORTS/RECREATION TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

A public playing field with a football and cricket pitch plus childrens play areas managed on behalf of the Fields in Trust by Youlgrave Parish Council. Designated a Queen Elizabeth II Field in 2012. Also owns the public toilets in the centre of the village for use by walkers, visitors and locals

Our charity provides financial help for the children attending Bere Alston Primary School in both academic and leisure activities.

The foundation provides & maintains the Offchurch Village Hall to provide facilities for leisure activities and meetings, lectures & learning opportunities to enhance the enjoyment and lives of all inhabitants of the parish and surrounding district.

Stainton Memorial Hall is a village hall which provides a venue for village organisations and societies/groups from a wider area. It also organises its own concerts, coffee mornings etc for fundraising and to improve the social life of the village. Village organisations inc: indoor bowls,exercise groups, dominoes, orchestra, dancing, art, sewing, womens institute, parish and community council, .

To provide maintain and develop in the interests of social welfare facilities for recreation or other leisure-time occupation for those in need thereof in the City and County of Hereford or to assist in the provision maintenance and development of such facilities.
