Leisure Charities

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

To help & educate young people through their leisure time activities so they can develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacity and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.

To promote the benefits 0f The Inhabitants of Rhiwfawr & The Neighbourhood By Associating together the inhabitants and the local authorities Voluntary And Other Organisations In A common effort To advance education and to provide facilities In The Interests Of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said Inhabitants

The aim of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to young people who live in Washingborough and Heighington, Lincolnshire, and who in the opinion of its Trustees are in need of help in order to undertake courses at college, university or join apprenticeship schemes. For example, help towards the purchase of tools or books and also sporting activities.

Oversees operation of Sportsfield

The village hall, meeting room and kitchen is available to hire by the public for social, recreational and educational functions. It serves as a community hub for local residents and the wider community and is rented out for various events, such as, meetings, coffee mornings, parties, wakes, workshops, craft groups, exercise groups, mental health support, amateur productions and corporate events.

To provide facilities for recreation for the benefit of the Parish of Headley and, in particular, to look after the management and upkeep of the Margery Wheatley Pavilion sited on the Headley Playing Fields.

Provides sports facilities and playarea for various age groups

Scouting for boys and girls aged between 5-16. Young leaders and explorers unit also attached to group. Guidance, mentoring, outdoor activities, sports, competitions, fund raising, camping, badge activity.

This Charity manages the both the use of the public facilities available for hire at Pilning Village Hall and Playing Field and the funds received as income from that hire as well as any funds received as grants. It is responsible for the maintenance of the premises and to Pilning and Severn Beach Parish Council.

Fundraising to provide additional equipment for the use of pupils and to enrich their school life. Events included 50/50 Club, DVD and photo sales and raffle at Nativity plays; disco and a Summer Fair and refreshments at Sports day.

The Charity's objects are to provide recreational facilities including an Institute for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Langley Mill in Derbyshire.

BOWLING CLUB

Annual agricultural show in rural Northumberland. The Upper Redesdale Show has baking and craft classes, sheep dog trials, sheep judging and general entertainment with children's sports and live entertainment.

The Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association, founded in 1926, provides small grants and loans, technical advice and support to it's members - town & parish councils, sports clubs and other community organisations. The Association's aims are to help protect, improve and promote active use of parks, playgrounds and playing fields across the counties of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.

Guildford Club for Disabled provides social support for the physically disabled which results in additional needs and requirements. The Club strives to provide wide ranging entertainment that caters for most age groups and their tastes.

MOB exists to support and encourage the integration of Disabled people with the Able Bodied through the medium and enjoyment of sailing

Sports and leisure activities for young people.

Supported disabled swimming gala, British Heart Foundation, arboreetum, coping with cancer, girl guides, scouts, community mini bus, Xmas gifts for people in hospital.

The activities during the year include the regular and ad hoc hiring of the hall for educational, social and entertainment functions and additionally the collaboration with a local church committee for fund raising events.

The charity provides and maintains a building which is the village hall to be used by all members of the village for their social, sporting & public activities and entertainment.
