Bretford Village Hall is rented out to various individuals, clubs and charities for leisure and social activities.

Hire of premises for meetings/arts/recreation/education etc.

Organisation of charity events (eg. golf day, entertainment events, street collection, etc) to raise money for local, national and international charities. Youth activities: Youth Speaks, Young Chef, Young Photographer, Christmas Story competitions, School Reading Partners, etc. Organisation of Tenterden Town Carol service and Town Christmas Tree. Providing volunteer support to other charities.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Laceby without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Managment of land left in trust for general recreational use by Malpas Village residents and visitors

Encouraging and enabling young people to work together, building life and outdoor skills,espcially camping, that will equip them for the future. This includes many awards that are gained by showing competence and ability. Regular Camps are arranged to which members are encouraged to attend. A rural youth movement for members aged 10-26 years. YFC offers young people the opportunity to gain skills and confidence in public speaking, sports, stock-judging, cultural skills such as dance, entertainments, drama, pantomime, social events & meetings. Clubs are member led and members learn important life skills such as chairmanship,secretarial, leadership and programme planning.

To promote the benefits of the habitants in the area by working collaboratively in a common effort to create opportunity, to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare, for recreation and leisure time occupation To secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a centre for activities promoted by the association in furtherance of the above objects or any of them.

The construction, maintenance, improvement, and operation of a large model railway and other associated items of historical interest, for public exhibition as a historical 'working' museum, for the furtherance of the knowledge and education of the general public.

Assisting poor persons under 18 years of age who are resident in the City of Nottingham, in one or more of the following ways: (a) in relieving poverty; (b) in advancing education; (c) in providing recreational facilities for such persons who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth or poverty and with the object of improving their conditions of life.

The main fundraiser for the year is the Mayfair which includes barbecue, football tournament, cake stall, tombola, bouncy castle and lots more activities.Other activities include, Christmas gifts, 100 club and easter disco.

The charitable aim and function of the Village Hall is to provide a vital centre to benefit the community of all ages. It is the only public meeting and group activity space in a village with no public transport or social facilities found in larger communities. Fundraising continued with golf day, corporate party night, christmas draw, santa claus grotto, street collections, etc. Donations made to individuals and organisations, christmas hampers to senior citizens, panto for handicapped children, local schools,British heart foundation,Macmillan cancer care, U K armed forces memorial fund,Scunthorpe church of England school,Girl guides ,Boy scouts.

The management committee of the village hall is to provide, maintain and manage the village hall, sports field and recreation area to a high standard. For the benefit of the Parishes of Great and Little Braxted.

Our charity comprises a village hall maintained for the use of anyone in the local area for events. Examples are: WI, mothers & toddlers, astronomy club, dog club, quilters & village friends. The hall is also used for functions and concerts. It is a community facility.

The provision of educational activities and training, which cover outdoor activities, environment, conservation, heritage, spiritual and cultural interests based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

We are a Village Hall operating in a small community and we offer facilities for people in our area to hire the hall for a variety of recreational uses and as a meeting place for local groups and organisations.
