Sports and Recreation

Rackheath WI meets on a monthly basis. We have eleven meetings per year with a wide variety of guest speakers, a Birthday meeting in April and an Annual Meeting in February. We hold a Christmas celebration in December.Other activities include regular walks, outings, educational and recreational, both local and further afield.

We are a volunteer funded and managed playing field providing play equipment and activities for all ages and abilities. There is a pavilion onsite. Tennis and cricket clubs run form the site. We have no guaranteed income and all maintenance activities and administration is done by volunteers. We have activities such as sports days, cream teas, BBQ's and apple pressing days.

To sustain Yapham village hall for the use of residents of Yapham-cum-Meltonby Parish and its neighbourhood and, in particular, encourage its use for meetings, lectures, education classes and for all other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving quality of life for residents.

A wide range of activities/events that the people of Orcop wish to be held at the hall, such as family get togethers, wedding receptions, parties, musical/film evenings, educational classes, keep-fit classes, exhibtions and more.

The charity exists to administer the above village hall. The hall is available for hire to all users for meetings, recreation and education, together with any other activity which enhances the lives of the people of the village and its surrounding area.

A Rural Youth movement for young people aged 10-26yrs. Members can gain confidence and recognised Skills in Public Speaking, Sports Competitions, Drama and Entertainments, Stockjudging and Stockshowing/Presentation, Dancing, Duke of Edingburgh, meetings and social events, Fundraising.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Reed without distinction of political religious or other opinions including use for lectures, meetings classes and other forms of recreation & leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

MANAGEMENT OF THE OLD SCHOOL HALL WHICH IS USED FOR SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL EVENTS.THE HALL IS AVAILABLE FOR HIRE BY INDIVIDUALS, VILLAGE ORGANISATIONS AND OUT OF VILLAGE INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS.

The Charity runs & maintains the village hall under its foundation which 'shall be the provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of North Kilworth and the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, and, in particular, for use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation,

The Hall is used by village groups including Women's Institute, Morris Dancers, Keep Fit and Yoga classes,Cricket Club, Parish Council, All Saints Church. The Village Hall is in use most days/evenings of the week by the groups mentioned above, plus being hired to others for social and activities.

Provision and maintenance of a swimming pool and other facilities for physical recreation for the use of the inhabitants of Pocklington and its neighbourhood.

Maintains village hall for use by local groups for education, sporting, WI, dancing and Friendship.

THE VILLAGE HALL IS AVAILABLE TO HIRE FOR ACTIVITIES. CURRENT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE YOGA, PLAYGROUP, REHEARSALS, CONCERTS, SCHOOL SESSIONS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, MEETINGS, TRAINING AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS. IT IS ALSO USED FOR FUNERAL TEAS AND WEDDING RECEPTION/PARTIES.

A village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Askerswell without distinction of political, religous or other distinctions including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure occupation with the object of improving the conditiions of life for the said inhabitants.

Income is derived from letting of village hall to local groups for activities for the benefit of the village. These include exercise classes, indoor bowls, and elderley residents social club.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall for the use of the whole village and wider community for leisure, educational, fundraising or other purposes as may be considered appropriate by the trustees.

The charity provides & maintains the public hall in the parish of Great Orton (Carlisle). This is the only venue serving a wide rural community and allows many varied local activities to take place from art exhibitions, wedding receptions, play groups, local government meetings, yoga classes etc.
