Leisure Charities

The charity object is the advancement of the education of persons studying agriculture, horticulture, arboriculture and allied trades by means of the establishment and administration of City and Guilds Land Based Services approved proficiency test centres for the purpose of assessing the skills of such students.

To provide facilities for the use of the towns of Malton and Norton and surrounding area, at present including an indoor bowling green, playgroup, dance group, restaurant and meeting room.

Homework clubs, holiday clubs, after school activities, camping trips, residential outings.Working with schools in helping children from deprived backgrounds,confidence booster sessions,leadership skills.Working to prevent homelessness and poverty. Providing work programmes and educational courses to help people with disabilities, young people and the homeless eventually leading to work.

A village hall available for all local people. Regular groups include Brownies, a Youth Theatre Group, U3A music and scrabble, dancing groups, special sessions for people with disabilities, Carpet Bowls, local conservation group and other local interest groups. The hall runs a Book Cafe two days a week and is a designated Warm Hub. The hall is also available for hire for parties, wakes and events

Supporting the elderly to enable them to maintain their independence & health to combat social isolation and enhance their quality of life by providing groups, activities, signposting and one to one support. Current groups include: 2 x Gentle Exercise classes, Men's Group, Pub Lunches, Shopping, Coffee Morning, Healthy Eating Group, Dementia Support Group, Befriending Project, 6-week exercise clas

TO ADVANCE AMATEUR SPORT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY ENABLING GREATER ACCESS TO GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL BY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF COMMUNITY BASED FOOTBALL INITIATIVES, BOTH NEW AND EXISTING;THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO LOCAL AMATEUR FOOTBALL CLUBS;PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROCUREMENT OF FOOTBALL INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES; ANDSUPPORTING INITIATIVES INTENDED TO INCREASE

Provides grant funding that supports Sir William Borlase's School in delivering activities that promote and enable widespread participation in the sport of rowing at a recreational and elite performance level and that support the provision of facilities that are accessible beyond the school membership.

PROVISION OF A PUBLIC PARISH HALL, YOUTH CLUB, PLAY AREA, RECREATION GROUND & CHANGING ROOMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF BRAMLEY, ROTHERHAM, SOUTH YORKSHIRE, S66.

Kindred Minds is a user led organisation created in 2012 by and for people with mental ill health to meet and offer each other support. We provide activities e.g. walking, excursions, ukulele, therapies, yoga, crafts etc, a buddy scheme, all of which supports our service users with their mental health recovery and wellness, which enables them to lead more positive, confident and active lives.

To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for persons who have need of such facilities by reason of age, infirmity or social or economic circumstances.

Brand new (2019) large village hall with stage and car parking run by group of volunteers. The village pre-school, a senior activity group, local am drams and various evening clubs such as Martial Arts, Brownies, model helicopter and race car clubs use the hall. Also used for parties, weddings, charity fund raising events. Income to cover running costs derived from letting fees/fund raising.

Provision of senior citizen support and volunteering, organizing youth mentoring and health promotion including sports and recreational services, delivering vocational education including entrepreneurship, film-making, arts and mother tongue language training , offering job-search, capacity building workshops, research , promotion of black history and other general charitable activities

Patchway Community Centre provides a safe and welcoming place for the local and surrounding communities to meet, we have over 25 regular groups consisting of Martial Arts, Luncheon clubs for the over 55's , Pre school and Tots , Mother and toddler group, AA, Senior Citizens, Zumba Classes, Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing, P.H.A.B and many more.

The object of the charity is the provision & maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without disctinction of polilitic, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation

The charity's objectives are: to provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation for disabled people; to promote and encourage recreational sailing by disabled people through co-ordination and integration with sailing clubs and associations. The trustees achieve this by undertaking fundraising activities and making appropriate grants.
