Leisure Charities

We are a 100% volunteer-run charity committed to offering an annual summer camping holiday for around 160 deserving children from Derby City. The children, aged 9-14 years, are selected to attend the camp by their school or the local authority Children's and Young People's services. We offer a safe, friendly and exciting adventure in the Derbyshire countryside for children who really need it.

lOOKS AFTER APPROXIMATELY 10 ACRES OF LAND WHICH IS SPLIT INTO 4 SECTIONS, 3 ARE USED BY A BOWLS CLUB, CRICKET CLUB AND TENNIS CLUB, THE OTHER IS CURRENTLY UNUSED AND MAINTAINED AND CUT BY AN OUTSIDE CONTRACTOR.

To service the Greek Orthodox Community of Weston Super Mare and the area, providing facilities and holding events along the Greek Orthodox faith.To support and promote cultural, educational, recreation and entertainment for all the community in the area of Weston Super Mare.Assist individuals of all ages, young and old, able and disable regardsles of ethnic background or colour.

General Hire to groups such as: Playgroup, Beavers, Cubs, Guides, Scouts, Tennis, W.I., Parish Council Meetings, Band Practice, Drama, Dancing -Ballroom, Line, Ballet, U3A activities plus a number of other groups.Functions: Weddings, Birthdays, Dances, Education, Sales, Quizes, Shows and fund-raising events for other organisations.

We are a community barge service providing educational, therapeutic and leisure outings on our purpose built barge for the most marginalised communities throughout South Yorkshire. We also offer skills based training courses in boat-handling and skippering.

The provision of a social welfare centre and recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants (and in particular, but not exclusively, such of the said inhabitants as are members of the mining community) of the area of benefit.

The charity provides day care (including transport,bathing, a shopping service, advocacy and recreational activities) for people over 60 and who are isolated for whatever reason living in a radius of 7 miles of Halstead town.

To promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Moreton Hall Estate by providing recreation and welfare facilities, using the premises of the Moreton Hall Community Club.

TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL,SPORTING,RECREATIONAL ACITIVITES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITHIN THE PARISH OF DISTINGTON

The object of LPTC shall be advancement of education and training by means of collaboration with City & Guilds Land Based Services in the administration and provision of certificates of competence in practical agriculture, horticulture and forestry.

Provides a wide range of activities & other opportunities for girls & young women. These vary from indoor challenges to outdoor pursuits, from social skills to social action. All focus on enabling the membership to have fun, build friendships & gain valuable life skills. The stimulating & enjoyable programmes in which the girls share are delivered by trained & enthusiastic volunteer leaders.

TO PROVIDE AND ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE IN A SAFE, SECURE AND STIMULATING ENVIRONMENT WHICH ENSURES EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. TO ENCOURAGE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF THOSE PROVIDING THE CHILDCARE AND RECREATION AND MAINTAINING COMMUNITY LINKS

To maintain the Institute for the purposes of physical & mental training and recreation and social & intellectual development for the benefit of the townspeople of Alsager.

The Groups four sections, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Explorers are for children aged between 6 & 18. Activities include sailing, kayaking, powerboating, rowing, swimming, hill walking, camping, archery, lifeskills and many more which are contained within the Scout progress awards.

The charity provides three halls for the local community to use for various functions within the village, including W.I. flower club, pilates, dancing classes, dancing, stroke clubs, dog training & drama group. The charity produces pantomimes, variety shows and band concerts to raise funds.

Support for ex miners

YPTC continues to act as a assessment centre for NPTC. We provide a wide range of landbased assessments both economically and efficiently. We deliver approximately 3000 test per annum.

To preserve for the benefit of the people of Romsey and the nation at large, all those buildings and premises of historical and architectural interest known as King John's House and Tudor Cottage, Romsey. To encourage the use of these facilities for both educational and entertainment purposes.

Administration of the Lisvane Memorial Hall complex for the purposes of physical and mental training , recreation and social ,moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading and recreation rooms,library,lectures,classes, recreations and entertainments for the benefits of the inhabitants of Lisvane without distinction of sex or political ,religious or other opinions.

For the benefit of the inhabitants of Thurston without distinction of age, sex or political, religious or other opinions by the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure-time activities. In particular the provision of an open space and a community centre. Provision of entertainment with music and dance.
