Religion Charities

Our objective is specifically to seek to enable ordinary people to live out their faith in everyday life through:? Worship and prayer; learning about the Gospel; and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus? Provision of pastoral care for people living in the parish? Mission, service to the community and outreach work.

TO ENABLE AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO WORSHIP AT ST MICHAEL'S CHURCH AND TO BECOME PART OF THE PARISH COMMUNITY.WE TRY TO ENABLE PEOPLE TO LIVE OUT THEIR FAITH AS PART OF A COMMUNITY WORSHIPPING ACCORDING TO THE RITES AND PRACTICES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND.

The main activities of the charity are the advancement of the Hindu religion, education in hindu traditions, history, language, literature and music. A wide range of events including a number of hindu and other auspicious religious celebrations continue to be carried out throughout the year at various branches.

St Mary's PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the Incumbent (The Rev A Downes), in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It also has responsibility for managing the Parish Hall in Green Street, Sunbury which it achieves through the Parish Hall Management Committee.

We proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and work for God's Kingdom of love, justice, and peace through missional work in our local community and further afield. We provide facilities for public worship as well as community projects and activities. We work to promote Christian values by serving those in our local area through youth work, a lunch club, pastoral visiting, and our community cafe.

Restore Community was set up to run community transformation projects. It is currently running the Oakwood Hill Community Centre and one in Trinity Church as well as the Loughton Grow Community Garden. The charity also delivers education and community support to a number of communities in Northern Zambia.

THE CHARITY AIMS TO ADVANCE RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE THE DOCTRINES AND PRINCIPLES OF THE BUDDHIST FAITH, AND IN PARTICULAR THE KAGYU-NYINGMA TRADITION OF TIBETAN BUDDHISM. THESE AIMS ARE FURTHERED THROUGH THE ACTIVITIES OF THE AWAKENED HEART SANGHA, A SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY IN THE KAGYU AND NYINGMA TRADITIONS OF TIBETAN BUDDHISM, FORMED BY STUDENTS OF LAMA SHENPEN HOOKHAM.

Objects are:(a) the relief of poverty and hardship, primarily but not exclusively by providing almshouse and other accommodation;(b) relieving either generally or individually persons who are in need, hardship or distress by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities or other organisations working to support such persons

To develop our forms of worship, contacts with the wider community,give children and young people every opportunity to become involved in Christian life.To provide appropriate opportunities and resources for learning and developing within the Christian life.Adopt measures to enhance and protect the environment.To give 10% of our general income as charitable grants to other charities.

Advancement of the Christian religion for the public benefit including by the carrying on of the service of God in accordance with the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible as followed by those Christians forming part of a world-wide fellowship known as the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church

Religious activities

Almshouse foundation with premises open to the public and having also an educational mandate. Includes Franciscan gardens (greyfriars), the site of the first Franciscan Monastery in England. Eastbridge Hospital is an Anglican foundation with chapels in regular use.

North Staffordshire Circuit administers the overall affairs of ten local Methodist churches: (a) The ministerial oversight and pastoral care of the churches;(b) The support of a ministry team of three presbyteral ministers;(c) The maintenance of four Circuit manses.

The object is to advance the Christian religion for the benefit of the public in accordance with the doctrines of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Restored is a Christian charity working to speak up about violence against women and girls, to equip the church to stand against domestic abuse and to support survivors. We host an online community of more than 650 women who have been subjected to domestic abuse and are developing the Restored Beacon Network of churches to provide support for survivors in their community.

JEWISH RELIGIOUS AND COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES. PROVIDING A PLACE OF WORSHIP TOGETHER WITH PASTORAL AND WELFARE SUPPORT FOR THE ELDERLY AND RELIGION CLASSES FOR THE YOUNG.

The charity constructed and now maintains the Jalaram Prarthana Mandal, this involves providing a temple for a place of worship. An adjacent building has been purchased and is used for community activities open to all faiths. The charity also assists local and overseas charities with similar objectives to the Mandal.

Christian religious worship and community outreach events.

To advance the Christian faith in accordance with our Statement of Belief, within the UK and the world. However we recognise that our work is mainly confined within Greater Manchester. To relieve persons who are in conditions of need, financial hardship or sickness and who may be aged. To advance Christian education within our areas of work.

The church undertakes: regular acts of worship, including communion; baptisms; bible teaching; evangelism and mission; provision of pastoral care; encouraging charitable social action; teaching, encouragement, welcome and inclusion of young people; nurture and growth of Christian disciples; training for Christian and community service; encouraging relationships with and supporting other Christians

The PCC of the Parish of Chingford has the responsibility of co-operating with the incumbent and his staff, in promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. It also has maintenance responsibilities for the two churches and halls and a clergy house.

Regular public worship open to all. Pastoral work, including visiting the sick and the bereaved. Teaching of Christianity through sermons, courses and small groups. Taking of religious assemblies in schools. Promotion of Christianity through the staging of events and meetings and the distribution of literature. Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas.

The principle object of charity is to advance the Islamic faith for the public benefit.The charity runs after school Islamic classes for the children and facilitate Congregational prayer. Trust also works closely with inter-faith to provide access to the mosque for local schools & colleges for educational purposes.
