Sea Cadets is voluntary uniformed youth organisation which offers a range of largely free activities from sailing, canoeing, rock climbing, engineering, IT communications, music and cookery. We aim to encourage good citizenship and provide worthwhile qualifications, experience and adventure for young people. Cadets have the opportunity to learn life skills whilst having fun and making friends.

THE MAIN PURPOSES OF THE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE ORGANISATION ARE TO ENABLE WOMEN WHO ARE INTERESTED IN ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH RURAL LIFE, INCLUDING ARTS, CRAFTS AND SCIENCES TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE, TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION IN CITIZENSHIP, IN PUBLIC QUESTIONS BOTH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL, IN MUSIC, DRAMA AND OTHER CULTURAL SUBJECTS AND IN ALL BRANCHES OF AGRICULTURE ETC.

The Charity supports the monastic life and public prayer of the community of monks. The community promotes ecumenical and inter-faith relations and hosts courses in psychotherapy and the relationship between psychotherapy and spirituality. It also receives individuals and groups for religious and educational and cultural reasons and makes some grants for reasons of religion, education and hardship

To advance the education of women in all areas including local, national and international issues of political and social importance, music, drama, other cultural subjects, all branches of agriculture, crafts, home economics, science, health, social welfare, to promote sustainable development, to advance citizenship for the public benefit by the promotion of civic responsibility and volunteering.

The primary purpose of the QCEA British Committee (BC) is to support the work of Quaker House in Brussels (QCEA). The Quaker Council for European Affairs (QCEA) was founded in 1979 to bear witness throughout Europe to Friends' long-standing concerns for peace, human rights and the right sharing of resources. It does this chiefly through staff based at Quaker House in Brussels.

Weekly webcasts & lectures on Sufism, Koran classes & book reading, Tamarkoz (Meditation) classes, translation classes, Farsi classes, ceremonies & other events, interfaith activities, musical performances, arts and crafts and tuition on traditional Iranian instruments

We work with young people aged 10-18, through skill building and sporting activities we aim to promote self discipline, team work, team responsibilities, respect for others, pride in personal presentation (appearance and behaviour), self-esteem and self respect. Ramgarhia Gurdwara Society of Hitchin aims to serve specifically Ramgarhia community and all other Sikhs in the area of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire in general. It aims to provide services at the Gurdwara in accordance with the Sikhi, preached by Guru Nanak followed the other Gurus. We provide Panjabi, Gurbani and music with the aim to further racial harmony & cohesion in the wider community

Encouraging research & information dissemination; 'REPRESENTATION Journal of Representative Democracy' quarterly (unattributed peer-reviewed); historic archives & other electoral studies collections; online resources; occasional seminar events.

The main purposes of the Women's Institute organisation are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions, in music, drama, all branches of agriculture, home economics, health and social welfare.

A Unitarian congregation meeting in-person in Harris Manchester College, Oxford chapel and online for weekly worship. We also run social/cultural activities, small groups for spiritual reflection, interfaith projects, a social justice group with community outreach and offer members pastoral support.
