Arts Charities

The main activity of the charity is to maintain and operate the library for the residents of Dinas Powys. It is staffed by volunteers supported by a part-time librarian funded by the Vale of Glamorgan Council. As well as the provision of books, large print and audio, we offer computer access, dvds, photocopying, children's activities and a range of fund raising events.

We meet every week to rehearse for concerts and other musical activities, which we perform at least four times a year. Every Christmas, we sing in a charity concert with all the proceeds being donated to a local charity.

Music sessions, workshops and live performance for children and young people

The choir holds weekly rehearsals. As well as developing musical skills, this provides important social connections and supports wellbeing. The choir typically performs 3 to 5 concerts a year; annually conducts a choral workshop and a choral summer school that is open to members of the public; seeks joint concerts with other choirs; and participates in charitable musical events on an ad hoc basis.

The Friends is a membership organisation which raises funds from subscriptions, donations, investments and other activities. The Friends' purpose is to make grants to the chapter of Worcester cathedral and other groups within the cathedral in preserving, maintaining and developing the cathedral's mission, resources, music and other aspects of the worship and life of the cathedral.

Our activities encourage public engagement with Rimrose Valley Country Park in Merseyside. They include community festivals, forest schools, environmental initiatives, guided walks, health and wellbeing projects and volunteering opportunities. We encourage people to become active citizens, engaging in all issues relating to protecting the park and surrounding communities.

Providing music lessons for local children

We seek to enhance experience and international understanding of the works of Shakespeare and in particular appreciation of the influence of the Italian Renaissance, culture and philosophers on his writing. We will explore this with actors through performance in the UK, Italy and beyond and work with educational and community groups particularly those for whom English is their second language.

Support of artistic and cultural activities in the area, including the production and hosting of plays and other productions in the Harlequin Theatre, Queen Street, Northwich.

PRODUCTION OF MUSICAL THEATRE

To preserve, promote and protect Hindu cultural, Facilitate community service needs between it's member organisations and local and national government. Celebrate major Hindu festivals in partnership with other local organisation and local authority

Performing plays, musicals, pantomime and concerts. Providing opportunity for members of community to join to partake in the arts, to watch performances and to benefit from productions.

The church advances religion by the preaching of the Gospel, public worship within the church building,organised Bible studies, prayer meetings, evangelistic events, carol concerts, and meeting needs withinthe community.Services are held on Sundays at 10.30am usually.

Reference library, photographic archive and SCRSS archive from 1924, when the society was founded, to present day. Loan library of classic and contemporary Russian fiction and a range of other subjects. Russian language seminars, regular lectures, films and other events. Members' information digest three times a year and events email mailing list of Russian related events.

The charity holds public celebration of Christian festivals, prayer meetings and teaching sessions on the Christian faith. It produces and distributes literature on Christianity to help others understand the Christian religion.

Organise classical music concerts for public performance using musicians in the community and from further afield.Promote playing of orchestral instruments, providing workshops and oppportunities for young players.

Sky Full Of Stories utilises the performance arts, storytelling and music to help combat social isolation in marginalised people.

To advance the Islam religion for the benefit of public through the holding of the prayer meetings and public celebrations of religious festivals.

The Songwriting Charity engages with children and young people to generate creative energy around issues that impact on their lives such as bullying, health, mental health, all through songwriting. We address and boost their emotional health and wellbeing through the delivery of intensive songwriting and music technology workshops. We work across England and Wales, and in Europe.
