Arts Charities

To advance education in all aspects of the creative arts, in particular, but not exclusively, by running an open access arts and culture festival in the town of Battle each year for public benefit.To enrich the lives of residents in Battle and the surrounding area by the promotion and encouragement of all forms of art.

Activities are created through the development and running of interest groups, each of which has a specific learning purpose. The range of interest groups is extensive from Geology, Naval History, Walking, Music, Boating & Sailing, Theatre, Current Affairs, Genealogy, Table Tennis, Weather Watching, Astronomy, Astro-Navigation, etc.

We support our Healthcare Professional members in their work, particularly with medico-ethical problems. We respond to national consultations on healthcare matters and publish a quarterly journal. We sponsor educational and social meetings at a national and local level.

To advance the Sunni Islamic Faith in Lambeth for the benefit of the public mainly but not exclusively by the public education of Sunni Islamic teachings and culture through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures, public celebration of Sunni Islamic festivals and producing and distributing literature on Sunni Islam to enlighten others about Sunni Islamic religion.

The festival organises public concerts which are designed to educate the wider public, the elderly, children, and music students in high quality chamber music. The festival also runs workshops in schools, designed to introduce and further educate school children in chamber music and provide access to performances to those who would not normally attend a concert.

The Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland, encouraging study and research in hymnody; promoting good standards of hymn-singing; encouraging the discerning use of hymns and songs in worship; sponsoring relevant publications.

To publically perform music to the best of our ability.

For the public benefit, to advance education by the promotion and encouragement of the arts, including all forms of visual arts.

THE VILLAGE HALL IS USED THROUGHOUT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. HIRING FOR TEA DANCES, PRE-SCHOOL, DANCE , INDOOR BOWELS CLUBS ,AND SO ON. ALSO USED FOR WEDDINGS, FUNERALS AND CHRISTENINGS. IN THE SUMMER TIME THE FIELDS AROUND THE HALL ARE USED FOR FUND RAISING EVENTS WITH THE VILLAGE HALL BEING THE CENTRE.

To educate the public by the study and practice of choral music and the concert performance of choral works.

To promote social engagement through sporting activities including Football, Bowling, Karate, Yoga.Other activities: support of a Brass Band, Youth Club, WI Ladies, Bestwood Ladies Group, Autism Group, Male Voice Choir & facilities for local and surrounding families to use.There is also support for the village Christmas Tree, parties and local events.

To advance the education of the public in the understanding and appreciation of the musical arts, in particular male voice choral music, by the presentation of concerts and similar activities.

Weekly Activities - Good Neighbours Club, Book ClubOther Activities: Special Event Nights, Seasonal Fairs, occasional private Hall Hire, eg birthday parties.

To educate the public in, and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in dramatic and operatic arts and musical works of all kinds.

Money is given to the village by Buffalo Pictures who film here. That is the sole income to the fund. Applications are made to the fund and granted, following consideration by the Trustees, within the parameters set out in our constitution. Port Isaac as an area is defined and, as requested by Buffalo Pictures, funding is concentrated particularly on the young and elderly of the village.

Organisation of a week long festival of music.

Provision and maintenance of village hall for use by inhabitants of and visitors to East Boldre for meetings, exhibitions, lectures and classes, other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, and educational activities (including those supporting and promoting the local heritage such as exhibitions, talks and sale of books on the East Boldre WW1 airfield).

TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE DRAMATIC AND OPERATIC ARTS, TO FURTHER THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC APPRECIATION AND TASTE IN THE SAID ARTS

We provide opportunities for individuals and groups to create and experience arts and crafts. We believe that everyone benefits physically or mentally, either directly or indirectly from exposure to the arts in all its forms. These activities are carried out at our facility in Dewsbury or in the surrounding area.

Studying and practicing a wide range of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance.Assisting and supporting such Charitable Institutions or purposes as the Committee determines from time to time.
