Under the terms of the Will of the late Bill Stickland the Charity receives investment income and property rent from the capital sum and property that form a Trust fund. The Charity is mandated by the Will to pass all net proceeds to the Lions Club of Wimborne & Ferndown of which Bill Stickland was a member. The Lions Club is the only organisation to which the Charity can make donations.

The trust applies its income for any purpose that is charitable according to the law of England and Wales whether for the benefit of any individual or group of people or for the benefit of any other organisation established for charitable purposes.

Garforth & District Lions club operate in town of Garforth and surrounding villages. We raise funds at an annual Gala, Beer Festival and on a Christmas street collection. The funds are used in our district to help the elderly, youth groups and those in need in the area. We also donate towards international projects through Lions clubs International Foundation.

CHARITY RAISES FUNDS THROUGH EVENTS HELD FORM THE PUBLIC, FRIENDS,ASSOCIATES AND MEMBERS OF GREENFORD WILLOW TREE LIONS CLUB AND EXPENDS THE FUNDS AS GRANTS AND DONATIONS FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

To raise and disburse charity and welfare grants/funds according to the Constitution of Lions Clubs International and the rules of the Charity Commissioners. To be involved in community activities and projects. To be active locally, nationally and internationally in respect of the aforementioned activities.

Example activities supported - Promoting volunteering, Relief of poverty and relief of those in need. Encouraging healthy recreation, Yarm Club occasionally gives grants to individuals. The club operates within the agreed objects under the aegis of LCI , both locally and nationally. Trustees are independent and make their own decisions, but will consider guidance given by club members.

General Charitable Purposes

Receive funds from Lions Clubs in Britain and Ireland and allocate to medical resources in Bosnia & Herzegovinia Montenegro and Serbia.

Fund Raising: Help with County Show; Covid vaccination clinics; November firework display; Santa Sleigh plus other fund raising stalls at various events in the county. As well as providing grants to deserving causes within the Rutland Area, District and Multiple District Lions Club, Lions Club of Rutland undertake several community service project

WE SUPPORT A.C.W.W (ASSOCIATED COUNTRY WOMEN WORLDWIDE). WOMEN'S INSTITUTE - CRAFT/ART/EXERCISE. EDUCATIONAL OUTINGS. HELP WHEN NEEDED TO LIONS CLUB ETC.

The club raises money for good causes, helps people in need in the local community and contributes to Lions' good causes in the UK and internationally. It also organises and helps to organise a number of major events throughout the year as well as being involved in many other smaller projects.

Raising Money for local People in need and for local charities + money for Lions Club International for World wide distribution for people in Need.

The Charity donates funds to local voluntary groups and individuals who approach us for help with financial matters. The funds are raised by various means e.g. monthly stall at the local farmers market in Clevedon, our annual Santa run around the town, annual classic vehicle event and other advocacy events.

Organising fund raising events such Race Nights, Michaelmas Fayre, Easter Egg Raffles, Fun Train Rides, and a Loan Scheme for Medical Appliances such as Wheel Chairs, Commodes, Walking Frames etc. The proceeds from which are donated to National and Local Charities such as:- Teenage Cancer Trust, Essex Air Amulance, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, Lions International Appeals and others.

Promoting the principles of good government & good citizenship.Taking an active interest in the civic, cultural, social & moral welfare of the community.Encouraging service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward.Supporting youth to develop skills & capabilities, enabling them to participate more in society.Promotion of volunteering & the voluntary sector.

To raise funds for various charitable causes and carry out service activities for sections of the local population.

Our policy is to give grants at the discretion of the members of Clacton on Sea Lions Club following investigation and recommendation of the Trustees. Whilst in general there are no restrictions on the purpose for which a grant can be given applications for capital projects and core funding are not normally considered. Applications from Clacton and surrounding areas are normally given priority.

Fundraising to fulfil the aims stated in the constitution, the provision of a holiday to deserving and disadvantages families & groups, running a minibus for the transport of the elderly, disabled etc, organising the town's carnival, marshalling local events put on by other charities & groups, holding an annual Young Citizens Awards ceremony

Volunteer group offering support to our local community in particular need.

1.Community service - helping the community of Easingwold. For the elderly we provide outings, organise parties and deliver fish and chips. We organise riding for the disabled. We also support local youth organisations and provide play equipment.2.Welfare helping needy individuals and groups.3. Fundraising - organising summer fayres, music competitions and santa sleigh collections.
