Scouting Organisation

All Scouting Activities ie. knotting, first aid, cooking, fire lighting and map and compass work. All these skills are aimed at giving children the opportunity to take part in more adventurous activities enabling the children to look after themselves. Other activites include camping, interesting speakers, making things and demonstrations.

THE GROUP IS A UNIT OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION WHICH PROMOTES DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL & SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS & MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES. WE PROVIDE AN ENJOYABLE & ATTRACTIVE SCHEME OF PROGRESSIVE TRAINING, BASED ON THE SCOUT PROMISE & LAW, GUIDED BY ADULT LEADERSHIP.

The objectives of the Group are as a unit of the Scout Association. Each term Beaver, Cubs and Scouts met regularly and participate in numerous events designed to develop the young people in accordance with Scout Association aims

All activities according to the Policy and Organisation of the Scout Association. The Scout Group works in Calderdale and Kirklees

IT IS OPEN TO ALL LOCAL MALE AND FEMALE YOUNG PEOPLE; SUPPORTED BY ADULT ASSISTANCE FROM VOLUNTEER LEADERS AND HELPERS. THERE ARE A WIDE RANGE OF DIVERSE ACTIVITIES, BOTH FORMAL AND INFORMAL, FOR 6 TO 18 YEAR OLDS.

Scouting in Dunstable District

Bowdon Community Association is the registered charity which is run for the benefit of the residents of Bowdon, Hale, Altrincham and District and is located at The Jubilee Centre. The centre provides suite rooms for hire for the local community.The Jubilee Centre's groups and organisations include Fund raising Events for local charities, Children's Activity Groups, Local Societies, etc.

The Penyffordd Scout Group consists of a Squirrel, Beaver, Cub and Scout Group. It provides activities in doors and out for children age 4 to 14.

The 'Friends of Hever School' raises funds for the benefit of Hever C of E School in Hever, Kent.The main focus of the Friends fundraising at the moment, is to raise funds for facilities to enrich the children's education.

LOCAL MEETING PLACE FOR VILLAGE CLUBS AND SOCIETIES - EG BOWLS CLUB, MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP, DANCING, PLUS AD HOC COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS JUMBLE SALES.

GESHER'S MAIN ACTIVITY IS DESIGNING & FUNDING PROJECTS THAT BUILD LINKS, REMOVE BARRIERS & ENCOURAGE UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN JEWS OF DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS & STRENGTHEN THEIR SHARED IDENTITY.PROGRAMMES REACH A WIDE RANGE OF AGE GROUPS VIA EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS, MEDIA INITIATIVES, LEADERSHIP COURSES & MEDIATION TO ENABLE A STRONGER, MORE PROSPEROUS & UNITED JEWISH PEOPLE IN ISRAEL & AROUND THE WORLD.

To raise funds for the repair maintenance improvement presentation beautification and reconstruction of St.Cassian's Church and the churchyard contents and furnishing of the Church

The Group provides training for it's young members in accordance with the procedures of the Scout Association

To provide Scouting Activities to enable Young People in the Group to become better members of their local, national and international community.

Fundraising for Swanmore Church Of England Primary School.

Our activities provide life skills for young people aged six and up, enabling them to enrich both their lives and the community in general.

To advance the education of the mentally handicapped, to promote the prevention and development of mental health and to foster mutual help and co operation between parents, guardians, relatives and friends of the mentally handicapped.

To encourage the physical, mental & spiritual development of young people so that they can take a constructive place in society. This is achieved by providing an enjoyable & attractive scheme of progressive training based on the scout promise & law and guided by adult leadership.

The aim of the Group and of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.
