To provide a space for village activities and social interaction

We try to give children experience of a range of outdoor and adventurous activities as well as some indoor ones like swimming, music, computing and collecting.

We organise events in order to raise money for Sir Henry Fermor CoE Primary School to enable them to purchase items to enhance the education of the children.

TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE TOWARDS RESPONSIBLE ADULTHOOD BY ENCOURAGING VALUABLE PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND HIGH STANDARDS OF CONDUCT, USING A NAUTICAL THEME BASED ON THE CUSTOMS OF THE ROYAL NAVY

The object of the Friends shall be to relieve patients, former patients and staff of The Hospital and other persons in the community who have health related issues. Among its activities the charity campaigns for patient access to complementary therapies and fosters intercommunication between health focussed organisations including charities and health authorities.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. The East Devon Scout District supports Explorer Scout Units and the Scout Groups across East Devon to encourage the young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, we support our members by providing the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

Lifelong learning and social activities for those who have finished the main part of their working life.

Provision of Community space for local groups

Provide Scouting for young people between the ages of 6 and 18 in the district of West Worthing.

ROTARY CLUB. The Club's members participate in fundraising and using those funds to support a number of good causes which are decided upon by the members. We lend physical as well as financial support to some projects.

Scouts actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

The charity's objectives are:(a) to arouse and foster interest in the Cathedral throughout the Diocese and beyond; and(b) to assist with funds to preserve the fabric of the Cathedral and associated buildings and to assist in the preservation and enrichment of the ornaments and furnishings of the Cathedral and the maintenance and development of its worship and mission.

The chair provides recreational and social activity for its members by rehearsing and giving performances to the public to encourage the appreciation of male choral music and to raise funds for local charities.

Provide Scouting activities for young people

The club meets weekly for lunch or evening meal, when there is normally a speaker. Members raise money and give their services for the benefit of the local community and internationally.

Our village hall is warm and comfortable with a popular social club, opening at weekends and bank holidays raising vital funds. The hall hosts a weekly coffee morning, plus classes such as woodcrafters, pilates and Zumba. A bi-weekly baby and toddlers group. A book exchange venture is also proving popular plus a local Chiropody clinic.

The development and instruction of young people in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship using trained volunteer leaders dedicated to our beaver, cub and scout sections.

The charity carries out fund raising activities in aid of the Downley School. This includes activities such as Summer Fayre, Christmas Fayre, Fireworks, discos, disco bingos and general community support.

The Village Hall is hired out to the local and wider communicty for private functions and also for community activites (WI, Keep Fit, Gardening Club, Dancing, Yoga, Parish Council Meetings, Mums and Tots, Short Mat Bowls to name a few)

Maintaining of the Village Hall for the village and other hall users. Other fund-raising, all for the benefit of the local comminity.
