The development of young people.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scout meetings at 1st Lichfield Scouts provide weekly activities for children between the ages of 5 and 14. The groups take place at Leasowe Scout Hall with opportunities for trips, camps and other off site activities throughout the year. UNIFORMED YOUTH ORGANISATION.

The Charity raises money by way of a variety of local projects.These funds are then given to local and international charities.There is a priority to help youth based charities.

Kingsley and Newton Village Institute is a charitable community building within the rural village of Kingsley in Cheshire. The Institute has a main hall with bar area, snooker room, bowling green and two tennis courts. Various social activities take place on the premises including line dancing, quiz nights, indoor and outdoor bowls, art classes, snooker and private parties.

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Linthorpe and neighbourhood by associating the Local Authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

WI exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

Following the Scouting and Guiding Programmes which encompass personal development, learning skills, becoming Good Citizens whilst having fun. Taking Badges in various skills along the way and Camping etc.

Umbrella organisation for Scouting in and around Alresford.

Part of the building is rented to N.Y. county council for use as a library. The lease of this part of the property is in the process of being assigned to the community library trustees. As well as being used by charity & social groups to raise funds and hold meetings, regular craft/gift and antique fairs and Art Exhibitions are held in an effort to raise money to maintain the premises.

Within our local area (Apsley) we provide a community building for many different sectionsof society to use & take part in various activities be it Elderly Persons Social Club, Sport, Education or Recreational.ACA also hold a fortnightly Tea Dance approximately 22/23 per year, other fund raising events may occur

To support and encourage the Dean and Chapter in their work and to add to the fabric and beauty of the Cathedral by contributing towards to its restoration, maintenance and improvements as a token of the gratitude which the people of Suffolk, and others, owe to Almighty God.

Religious activities

Provide space & facilities for meetings, village events & community activities for voluntary organisations and others within the catchment area.

Events held for pupils and their families, for example discos, quiz nights, and fairs in order to raise funds for purchases to enhance the school experience for the children and their families.

The Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-13. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential.

Organise a variety of events throughout the year to raise the money for Stanburn Primary School to buy extra materials and equipment to help children's education

Managing Clover Hill Village Hall. Promoting social, educational and recreational pursuits of the community. Provide facilities for the whole community through training, encouraging and supporting amateur dramatics, fitness, dance, musical and religious groups.

FUND RAISING TO PROVIDE THOSE EXTRAS THAT THE SCHOOL IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE DUE TO BUDGET CONSTRAINTS FOR THE CHILDREN AT THE SCHOOL.

Scouting and Youth activities.

The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individual, responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The method of achieving the aim is by providing an attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the scout promise and law.

We run the village playing field for cricket, football, tennis, bowls, scouts & children play group. In addition we now own & run a 6 & a half acre wildlife site next to the playing field - 4 acres meadow 2 acres woodland. This is called the Alderbed Meadow Project.

Provides a building and open space for people living in the village or the surrounding area to engage in sporting, social and other activities regardless of age, ethnic/social group or religion.
