Fundraising and engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.

The 9th Kenton Scout Group is a not for profit charitable organisation which works with young people, aged 6-14, locally. We are all volunteers seeking to encourage & support them in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potential as individuals, responsible citizens & members of their local community through a varied programme of indoor & outdoor Scouting activities.

Management and maintenance of a village hall for community use of local residents and others, including recreational use, meetings, social activities, promotion of health and educational activities, activities for children, activities for the aged etc

To provide facilities for community activities for the residents of English Bicknor and surrounding areas.

General Scouting Activites

Young people between the core ages of 6 to 14 meet in their sections weekly where they enjoy learning through a variety of methods, including games, practical experiences and visits. In addition there is a full programme of outdoor experiences from cooking on open fires through sleepovers, weekend and full week camps either in accommodation or under canvas on official sites or green fields.

Delamere Community Centre serves Delamere & Oakmere residents well and is used morning, afternoon & evenings by the community. This includes Crown Green Bowling, Bridge, Badminton, Indoor Bowls, Golden Club, Whist, Snooker, Billiards, Military Whist, Women's Institute, Keep Fit, Slimming World and other meetings and social occasions. Over 400 people use the centre of which 180+ are DCA Members.

Pupose of the charity is to raise income from the Mark Lodges within Yorkshire North & East Yorkshireand apply that income to the benefit of;a) Distressed Mark Mason's, their widows or other family membersb) To assist other Masonic Charities including the Mark Grand Charityc) To support other charitable institutions within the Province of Yorkshire North & East Yorkshire.

HOLDING VARIOUS CHARITABLE EVENTS SUCH AS GOLF DAYS , YOUTH MAKES MUSIC AND ART. MAKING DONATIONS TO SHELTERBOX, MARY'S MEALS , ROTARY FOUNDATION, & VARIOUS DONATIONS TO LOCAL INDIVIDUALS AND TO SMALL LOCAL and UK REGISTERED INTERNATIONAL CHARITY DONATIONS.

Scouting activities for boys and girls

The charity maintains and upgrades as required the Memorial Hall in the village of St. Mawes, providing a venue for a wide variety of functions and activities, ranging from badminton and bingo to the annual village pantomime, and for regular meetings of local organisations such as the WI and the Garden Society. The hall is also available for private functions based in St Mawes.

The objectives of the group are as a unit of the Scout Association. The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership. Main activities in relation to these objects:The main activities for the young people in membership consist of: Weekly Section Meetings .

The trustees invite or receive requests for funding from organisations providing health and care services for medical and ancillary equipment in accordance with the objectives of the trust as set out in the scheme of commissioners dated 24 April 1995.

Providing social activities for people with learning difficulties.

Yateley Manor School Parent Teacher Association: To raise money for the benefit of the school's pupils.

To apply income of the charity for the relief of the poor & needy or to such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as The Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley shall from time to time direct.

To help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

Monthly Meetings and other social/educational & Charitable Activities

To provide scouting to young people between the ages of 6 and 18 in Birchington

Scouting for boys and girls aged 6-25. The group also has a marching band and membership is open to any Scout or Guide (not just our group or district).Adults over 18 run the sections and/or can be members of the band.

Managing Knowle Village Hall for the benefit of the community

As well teamwork and self respect, our aim is to provide a sense of belonging and a sound foundation for future employment to provide practical applications for skills which are learned , to train cadets in all aspects of seamanship, we spend summer months sailing canoeing, camping , orienteering , which sets cadets up for Dof E, during winter we are more academic, with classes in communications,

We run two Beaver Colonies, two Cub Packs and one Scout Troop for boys and girls.
