WE ARE A HOSPITAL LEAGUE OF FRIENDS. WE RAISE FUNDS MAINLY THROUGH A SHOP SELLING DONATED SECOND HAND ITEMS (ALL STAFFED VOLUNTARILY), AND SUPPORT THE TYRELL HOSPITAL PATIENTS OR OUTPATIENTS AND THOSE ATTENDING ANY LOCAL CLINICS BY PROVIDING EQUIPMENT/ITEMS FUNDING PROJECTS OR TRAINING.

Raises funds for South Green Schools, which are then distributed in grants for items and activities to enhance the children's education.

To provide a facility for the use of local residents, and those from surrounding villages.

MANAGE AND MAINTAIN ROWSLEY VILLAGE HALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL LOCAL PEOPLE.THE AIM OF THE CHARITY IS TO PROVIDE LOCAL ACCESS TO EDUCATION AND RECREATION FACILITIES; AND TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR LOCAL PEOPLE, WITH THE AIM TO PROMOTE INDIVIDUAL WELL BEING AND AND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY BELONGING.

The purpose of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their Local, National and International Communities.

The hall is used for a variety of village activities - for example, Toddler Group, W.I., Ladies Group, Dog Obedience Classes, Parish Council Meetings, Social Club and various village activities throughout the year, with numerous summer events which bring the whole village together. The hall has just been rebuilt and modernised to a very high standard.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, Ashby Hastings Scout Group gives young people of Ashby de la Zouch & surrounding area the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.

To promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training based on the scout promise and law and guided by adult leadership.

The charity owns, maintains and runs the Haydon Bridge Community Centre. This includes organising the hire of the premises by community groups, educational and social organisations and for recreational activities.

The main activities this year have been to enable the Adults and Girls in the Division to experience the Fun, Friendship and Opportunities that GirlGuiding UK's programme has to offer.

Social Groups, Snooker Club, Table Tennis Drop-In, Yoga, Playgroup, Drama Group, Council Meetings, Gig Club, Keep Fit, Craft Groups, Art Groups, Workshops, Presentations, Committee Meetings, Weddings, Celebrations, Fundraisers, Environmental Awareness Events, Musical Evenings, Fetes, Farmers Market, NHS events.

Provides hall facilities for local clubs, groups and individuals to hold fundraising and social activities.

Social activities for over 55 years e.g. dancing, dominoes, whist, bridge, Luncheon Club, Snooker. Also facilities for other local groups e.g. Probus, Girl Guides, Scouts, Age Concern, Camcorder Club, Talking Newspaper et al

To promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC)

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We achieve this through delivery of a good quality balanced programme in line with the requirements of The Scout Association.

Various indoor and outdoor Scouting activities (outdoor examples - camping and walking) for young people aged 6 - 14. Plus facilities for older young people 14 - 25 to also enjoy Scouting.

To promote social activities among parents and staff and to provide funding for additional facilities for the children of Ashwell Primary School.
