Scouting is a co-educational organisation that provides the platform for our young people to have fun,appreciate the out door life whilst achieving their full potential as individuals and responsible citizens.

Rotary Club of Wigan is part of the everyday life of Wigan and is a catalyst for a number of landmark community developments in health, education and culture. It provides support for local charities and financial assistance to charities involved in vital humanitarian work in needy parts of the world. As part of the worldwide Rotary movement, our work is mirrored by Rotary clubs across the country.

Arrangement of cultural activities - visits to shows (musicals, drama, opera, ballet, etc) or outings to places of interest. Functions may be arranged such as a jazz night, a topical quiz, book sale, etc. A monthly magazine circulated to all members and contains details of our shows & events & diary note of all other local functions notified to us by any other local 'not for profit' groups.

TO SUPPORT THE EDUCATION OF THE CHILDREN OF ADEL ST JOHN THE BAPTIST PRIMARY SCHOOL

Activities with young people

We provide and maintain a village hall for use by the residents of Rushwick Village and its environs. The hall is available to hire by local groups and individuals for private bookings in support of community activities, church services, educational services, charitable fundraising plus leisure and social functions.

Raise funds for Loddon Primary School

We aim to promote the development of young people in achieveing their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities.The method of achieving the Aim is by providing an enjoyable & attractive scheme of progressive training based on the Scout Law and Promise guided by adult leadership.

The Rotary Club of Shipston on Stour's Charity Account is a statement of the monies raised by voluntary contributions from fundraising activities organised by the Club.The net proceeds from which are donated to nominated local and international charities and good causes.

CONDUCT VARIOUS FUND-RAISING EVENTS IN OR AROUND THE SCHOOL TO RAISE MONEY FOR SCHOOL PROJECTS. FOR EXAMPLE: SCHOOL DISCOS, CHRISTMAS FAYRE AND SUMMER BALL. MONEY IS DONATED FOR FURNITURE, POOL MAINTENANCE, BOOKS ETC. ST. MARYS IS A SCHOOL WITHIN THE CATHOLIC ACADEMY TRUST IN EAST BERKSHIRE.

The aim of the Scout Association is to encourage the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people so they may take a constructive place in society.

Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

Donations to local charities, donations to young Carers in our area, fun day out for disadvantaged youngsters.
