The 1st Bilston Scout Group is one of the oldest in the world we offer activities for Beavers,Cubs and Scouts and also find a home for Rainbows,Brownies,Guides and The Panther Explorer Scout Unit.We offer all sort of Scouting activities indoor and Outdoor and the opportunities to gain new life skills

Provision of cub/scouting skills and experience to children in the age range 6-14.

We raise monies primarily from two annual events - a Donkey Derby & two-day Bootfair inaugust, and a sponsored dip in the sea on Boxing Day-at the latter participants are invited tonominate a charity-local or national-or a good cause to whom we then send 50% of whatthey raise in sponsorship. We aim to spend locally what we raise.

To provide financial support firstly to local registered charities and secondly to assist national charities especially those nominated by our National Association (RIBI), thirdly to provide aid to disaster areas worldwide channelled through the Rotary International and lastly to support the Rotary Foundation.

Providing and operating a small traditional village hall for the benefit of local residents in Middleton and Aislaby villages.Current uses of the hall include classes for Art, Keep Fit, Sewing, Lace making.Other uses include WI and Churchmeetings, other Charity's training sessions,drama productions, exhibitions and musical evenings

Scout Group

The Friends of Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre supports the new health centre, opened in November 2023, upon the closure of the Edenbridge Memorial Hospital. It provides funds and equipment to pay for those items/services for which the NHS is unable to pay. Its main objective is to support local NHS services and to fundraise in the community so as to fund essential support.

Scouting and the provision of a Community Hall for use by others

Hire of Village Hall for local activities, ie Community Coffee Shop, WI, local societies, Exercise Classes and parties. Maintaining building and grounds to required standards

The raising of money for local & rotary international charities (such as Polio Plus and disaster aid); the funding of courses to help young people to raise aspirations or aquire leadership skills and support the local learning disability community as well as schools and community projects in Nepal.

Scouting & Girlguiding

The Charity was established to allow the people of Roffey, to use the institute. Users are Play Group,Brownies,Indoor Bowls,Badmington,Dance School,Judo and Sunday worship.

To provide village hall facilities for all clubs, societies and individuals and to provide community activities and resources for the residents of Dinder and surrounding areas.

Mainly outdoor pursuits which include canoeing, sailing, camping & pioneering. We have our own headquarters so in bad weather we can carry on indoors when wet.

Recreational activities for young people including, sailing, canoeing, boatwork, camping, offshore sailing, camps and training courses.

Provides education and training for scout group members

Scouting across three section with SAS. Activities include weekly patrol meetings, camps, jumble sales.

Helping young people towards responsible adulthood.

Hartwell Community Centre offers residents the opportunity to book the facilities for personal events such as birthday celebrations and other parties. It also offers an ideal location for the various user groups which currently include PreSchool Playgroup, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, WI, Tuesday Circle over 60s club, Hartwell Parish Council & Youth Club

Hire of hall for use by local associations and private citizens

Organise and run fund raising actitivies to provide additional equipment and facilities for the school and fund events such as discos and end of year parties for the pupils. The charity has been responsible for organising the school summer fete for a number of years which brings together the whole community.

The Charities activities are to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities. An enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and law and guided by adult leadership.

To manage the running of the local village hall for use by local groups and to maintain the hall. To actively raise funds for the upkeep of the hall so that it available for village use. To encourage social activities in the village community.
