The Group promotes Scouting in the Goudhurst area and follows the aims of the Scout Association - to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities.

1st Congleton Scout Group provides Scouting for 3 active sections of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts across the 6 to 14 year old age range.

To receive subscriptions, donations and bequests and to pay donations to any body or institution established for solely charitable purposes whether Masonic or non-Masonic, and to assist members of the Gippeswyk Lodge and the wives, children and other dependants of such persons being in need of financial assistance, by making grants or i n such other ways as the Trustees shall think fit.

This charity maintains a building for community activities ranging from further education classes, leisure courses, pantomime, concerts, band practice, hall for local school's PE and drama, community events and fund raising events.

Our Scout group is a large and very active band of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all based in Lymm, Cheshire and with links to the local Warrington East District Antarctic Explorer Unit.

Scout and Guide group

The Council promotes Scouting in the Hornchurch District by supporting the 17 Scout Groups in the geographical area of Ardleigh Green, Corbets Tey, Cranham, Elm Park, Emerson Park, Hornchurch, Rainham and Upminster.

We provide buildings and open space and some equipment for the general public - we do charge a hire fee for activities inside the centre. We cater for nursery school under 5 years - Different Dance groups - keep fit -Judo-Yoga -Keep fit

Scouting - we provide an exciting programme of activities for Beaver Scouts; Cub Scouts and Scouts, which promotes learning and personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society.

This charity activity is the Women's Institute whose purposes are renowned. Bude WI is an active organisation giving interests and fellowship to all those who belong.
