Scout Movement

Providing the full range of regular scouting activities, in accordance with Scout Council guidelines, for boys and girls in the Winchester area.

Local Scout Group that provides education and training for young people through sporting and recreational activities.

Promoting the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international community.

Raising funds for school. Events include discos, movie nights, tea and cakes, quizzes, summer fair.

Provision and maintenance of a village hall for the Parish of Milverton, including lettings management, fund-raising and seeking grant funding for capital expenditure for building improvements. We actively encourage new activities that might appeal to residents, e.g. computer, keep-fit, literature and theatrical events, as well as promoting the village hall as a centre for community activities.

Scouting activities: The group activities promote development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals and responsible citizens and members of their extended communities. We do this by providing enjoyable and rewarding training activities both indoors and outdoors, based on the Scout promise and Law, and guided by adult leaders

Girlguiding, as part of a worldwide Movement, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential to take an active role in society through it's distinctive, stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities delivered by trained volunteers.

ALL ACTIVITIES INVOLVED WITH RAINBOWS, BROWNIES, GUIDES AND RANGERS IN THE DISTRICT, OUTINGS, ACTIVITY DAYS AND DISTRICT EVENTS, THINKING DAY AND REGION OR DIVISION ACTIVITIES PLUS GUIDER TRAINING DAYS AND GUIDE WEAR PURCHASES

SCOUTING ACTIVITIES TO CHILDREN OF TUNSTALL AND GOLDENHILL AREAS IN STOKE-ON-TRENT

We are a Sports and Community Centre for the Leven Valley District of Haverthwaite and surrounding villages. Activities include, Athletics, Cricket, Youth Club events and various other community activities.

The Charity provides facilities and personnel to direct and assist children in Indoor/Outdoor activities in accordance with guidelines and regulations laid down by the Scout Association and County and/or District Teams. Currently, the Group operates three Sections - Beavers, Cubs and Scouts - and these Sections are open to Boys and Girls of appropriate ages defined by the Scout Association

Provision of scouting activities for young people between the ages of 6 and 15

1. Assist in the preservation, repair and maintenance of the fabric of the Church of St Mary Magdalene, Barkway and major fittings and ornaments of the Church and to maintain the Churchyard.2. Foster interest in the preservation of the Church throughout the parishes of Barkway, Nuthampstead and among all who live in the village or have reason to care for the well-being of the Church.

We raise funds from a variety of local events and donate to charities and educational causes both in the UK and overseas.

To support patients and former patients of the Knighton Hospital and others in the community who are ill or convalescing and people with disabilities or in the need of assistance.

Receives donations from Friends of St. Laurence Church, Wichenford. The funds are used to help maintain the fabric of the Church.

Provision and maintenance of a village hall in King's Cliffe for the use of local residents, without distinction of political, religious or other opinion, for meetings, classes, recreation, leisure and social activities.

The Association has a number of Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Senior Section units that meet in a local HQ. These units are run by adult volunteers and its HQ by a committee of local interested supporters of the Guide movement and leaders of units. The Association welcomes all to join!!!
