Associations Charities

WGSG PFA provides support for the school through the services given at school events such as the Kent 11 plus test, open evenings and the Year 11 Prom. The PFA also organises fund-raising events (e.g. school discos, Christmas fairs, pamper evenings, quiz and race nights) to fund the Bookbuzz programme and help finance much needed school equipment and facilities.

We didn't have many activities during 2020 due to the Pandemic when we couldn't have face to face meetings. However, Scouts had a very active Zoom meetings In early part of year, Beavers celebrated Chinese new year, had a night hike and cooked pancakes. Cubs visited a synagogue, made pancakes, visited a Fire station and some went to the Science Museum. Scouts went ice skating, had a Winter camp

The charity's activities include the running of Girlguiding Dunstable Division, Windy Sayles (indoor residential, activity centre and campsite) and Windy Sayles shop (selling badges, books, uniform etc)

Grants to people from countries that are not part of the Commonwealth, or were not part of the British Empire, and who are at present resident in London

Maintain and manage the Community Centre owned by Leeds City Council. Organise lettings and use of the building.

Scouting activities as per scout association directives.

The objectives of the Friends of Christ Church Hanham are to advance the education of all the pupils of the school; to engage in activities that support the school; to provide facilities or items for use at the school and; to develop the relationship between staff, pupils and parents.

We hire our halls for a variety of uses which benefit the local community, including Brownies, U3A table tennis, bingo, Weenies Toddler group, C'siders table tennis, youth activities, Slimming World, Weymouth Warlords Wargaming, Trainmaster and more. Local people can hire the rooms for one-off events and we actively promote community involvement in our planning and activities.

Scouting Activities for 6-7 years old; 8-10.5 years old; 10-14 years old. Older children join an Explorer Group, but work with us on "Young Leader" skills.

Advancing the education of the pupils at Broad Hinton Primary school by making provision for facilities and items for education at the school in consultation with the governing body. Also engaging in activities which support the school, developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

Raising money for the school

Our aim is to:a) Raise funds to support activities & purchase resources for the benefit of all children attending Elm Wood School.b) Have an effective dialogue between the parents/ carers & teachers with regards to fundraising and events.c) Host events outside core school hours to boost community relations.

We cater for children from 5-16 who wish to participate in Scouting activities.

Rotary Club collects money by public collections and functions and redistributes to local and international charities

Provision of supplementary funding for the activities of Great Ouseburn School.

TRAINING AND RECREATION FOR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN AS PART OF A NATIONAL YOUTH ORGANISATION IN THE TRADITION OF THE ROYAL NAVY.

The Charity aims to raise funds through various organised events to raise funds for the school, in order to enhance the childrens education and improve the schools environment. We aim to do this by events, such as Raffles/fetes/fundays etc.

Provision of Scouting Activities and community use of premises

For people with learning disabilities and their families. Aims to enable people with learning disabilities to access leisure and social activities in the community and opportunities for personal development including self-advocacy.Campaigns for the rights of people with a learning disability and works with other organisations and groups for the benefit of people with learning disabilities.

To help make young people good citizens through the medium of waterbourne and adventure activities following the history and tenets of the Royal Navy

TO HELP AND SUPPORT THE SCOUT GROUPS WITHIN THE DISTRICT AREA OF HASLEMERE BOTH FINANCIALLY AND ADMINISTRATIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE POLICIES OF THE SCOUT ASSOCIATION.

The Aim of the Sea Cadet Corps is to help young people towards responsibleadulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct, using anautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy. Activities include community based work, pulling (rowing), sailing, shooting, drill, Expedition Training, football, swimming, kayaking, power boating.

The development of young people physically, morally & spiritually through the progresive programme of scout activities & interests.
