The Scout Group provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-18. This is through the promotion of physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being , helping them achieve their full potential, by giving them skills for life.

To provide facilities to the Residents of Cornwallis Court to increase their comfort and provide entertainment.

Making donations and grants

The Club predominantly supports causes local to its base area but, in addition, also supports the Kids Out Programme and, via another charity, various schemes in Uganda.

The group maintains its own meeting place & holds weekly meetings for each of its sections:- Squirrels (4 to 5 3/4 years), Beavers (6 to 7 3/4 yrs) Cubs (8 to 10 3/4 yrs) Scouts (11 to 15 3/4 yrs) & Explorers (16 to 17 3/4 yrs) following the Scout Association training programme. In addition hikes, camps & other weekend activities are provided under the supervision of volunteer leaders.

Our Centre is used by Rainbows, Brownies, Guides,Rangers, Otters, Cubs, Scouts, a Dance Group, 3 church groups and anyone from the local community who wishes to hire the Centre for activities.

The object of the charity is to advance the education of the children and young people of Evergreen School, in particular by supporting the development of effective relationships between the staff, families and others associated with the school; and engaging in activities or providing experiences, resources or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the students.

Youth organisation for young people using the themes of the Royal Navy. Activities: Adventure training, sailing, boating, power boating, ships visits, canal holidays, drill, seamenship.

Meetings with speakers, craft sessions, outings to places of interest and theatre, assisted shopping scheme with luncheon club, new age kurling.

The Friends of St Mary's Church, supported by the congregation and village, is setup to raise funds for the maintenance of the fabric of the Church

Fundraising to donate to school - ie books/trips/playground equipment

Provide grants to distressed brother masons their distressed widows dependents individuals and organisations within the county of Wiltshire and Unitary Authority of Swindon for the general relief of medical mental and physical distress among the elderly disabled surgical cases and those subject to violence.

Fundraising for the school

The village hall is used by a variety of organisations including the youth club the village school the old peoples bingo afternoon and the parish council

Scouting activities for young people aged 6 onwards

Fundraising and organising social events to develop school/parent and school/community relationships: village fete, school Christmas Fair, discos, beetle drive etc. Funds raised are spent on the children - taking them to a pantomime, paying for Christmas activities etc - and on buying equipment for them to use at school eg outdoor play equipment, resources for outdoor play

Scout Group with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections

Rotary club making donations to charitable organisations. Raising funds for charities. Performing charitable works in the community and overseas.

Scout,Cub Scout and Beaver Scout activities promoted by the Scout Association.

Village Hall providing facilities for groups of all ages for community activities

Parents, teachers and friends of Caton St Paul's School raise extra money for school projects and equipment e.g. library books, computers, sports and outdoor equipment. They also contribute by supporting the School Sports Day, the annual Christmas Fair and also by donating money towards children attending outside school activities e.g. Young Voices.

A Village hall used for community activities and sometimes hired to the public for private functions.
