As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Each week, the Water Orton Scout Group give young people of Water Orton the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed

Runs a Beaver Scout Colony, Cub Scout Pack and Scout Troop based at Monkseaton

Organise fund-raising activities such as quiz nights, Christmas and summer fairs, etc, to provide extra equipment and activities for the pupils at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Ipswich.

Normal Scouting Activities

Training in skills and citizenship for boys and girls from the ages of 6 to 14 years, self reliance and respect of all people, fun & companionship.

Activities typical of a scouting group comprising beavers, cubs and scouts.

The hall is used for fund raising events to provide facilities for the village and is also used for social activities within the village.

Provision of accommodation for local events, clubs, social activities etc.

Provides buildings/facilities for use by the local community at a minimal rent.

Providing a venue for public and private functions including Parish Council, Church, Women's Institute, local amateur dramatic society, exercise classes, dance classes, art classes, dog training, parties and local and national elections.

To further the education of young people and help them to become responsible citizens through our training award system and outdoor activities.

Acts as an umbrella and gives advice and guidance to guiding groups. Milford Guide Hut accommodates the Milford on Sea Guiding Groups and is let at a reasonable rate to local groups and individuals.

We are a meeting place for many local clubs and facilities such as Fitness classes,Martial arts classes,WI, Yoga, Art classes,RAOB lodge and Parish Council meetings. We also take bookings for birthday parties and other such private and community events.
