Providing scouting skills to young people.

6th Norton (St. Joseph's) scout group aim to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potential by providing enjoyable progressive training based on the scout promise and law and guided by adult leadership.

To make grants to appropriate charities for the relief of those who are in need, hardship or distress, and to make grants for community development, the preservation of historic buildings and their collections of art and antiquities, the security of the United Kingdom, the welfare of serving or former members of HM Armed Forces, the promotion of the work of the Cadet Forces and emergency services.

ALL ACTIVITIES AS PER SCOUT ORGANISATION, CLIMBING, CANOEING, CAMPING, POTHOLING, ARCHERY, RIFLE SHOOTING, SURVIVAL TRAINING, OUTDOOR PURSUITS, SWIMMING AND ORIENTEERING

Fundraising events/concerts/services to aid the Churches Conservation Trust in the upkeep of St. Leonard's Church

Activities undertaken are in accordance with the aims and objectives of Girlguiding UK and relate to all members from the age of 5 upwards. Our activities with effect from 2022 now also apply to 4 year olds.

Teaching young people to, be good citizens, by providing fun activities where the young poeple will learn.

Provides the premises for local community activities including sports, leisure, meetings, private functions, drama, dancing etc.

To educate and inform the members of Hartford WI. We have speakers at our monthly meetings and arrange visits to various places of interest.We have several sub groups such as craft, art, walking, history, darts, bowls and music. We give a bursary each year to one of our members to use on a course of her choice.We meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month at Hartford Methodist Church Hall.

Providing a Women's Institute group for the villages of Langley, Clavering and surrounding villages.
