Associations Charities

1. Develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and other associated with the school.2. Engage in activities which support the school and advance the education and wellbeing of the pupils attending it.3. Provide and assist in the provision of facilities for pupil education and wellbeing at the school (not normally provided by the Local Education Authority)

Apply funds raised by the Rotary Club of Leyland and its members or otherwise donated to the club's trust accounts, to/for the relief of the disadvantaged locally, nationaly & internationally or for such other charitable bodies as the club shall from time to time direct.

Provides community activities ie domino drives, fund raising events. A building for the use of local history groups, art groups and activities for young children.

From time to time the Friends of Bix provides funds for the improvement or maintenance of the Saint James Parish Church located in Bix, Oxfordshire.

Coffee mornings, Social events for fundraising e.g. Ploughmans supper, Burns night etc. Christmas Cards, Beetle drive, Pudding evening, Car Boot Sale, Safari Lunch. Making breast cushions to support cancer patients. Assisting vulnerable people e.g. volunteers at Cheshire Homes, teas or lunches for elderly people.

RAISING MONEY THROUGH SOCIAL ACTIVITIES IN THE VILLAGE AND USING THAT MONEY TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO CARE FOR THE LOCAL CHURCH (GRADE II* BUILDING) AND IMMEDIATE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

MONTHLY MEETINGS AT WHICH WI BUSINESS IS DEALT WITH AND AT WHICH THERE IS USUALLY A GUEST SPEAKER.THE BUSINESS IS MAINLY ABOUT EVENTS / CLASSES ORGANISED BY THE COUNTY FEDERATION (HCFWI) OR BY NEIGHBOURING WIS.SPEAKERS COVER A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS TO CATER FOR THE VARIED INTERESTS OF THE MEMBERS.

MASONIC CHARITY FOR THE LODGE OF AGRICULTURE 1199 YATTON. TO GIVE DONATIONS TO LOCAL CHARITIES.

Custodianship of Land, for the Benefit of the Community, in Totterdown, Bristol and Related Activities

Although we are a Masonic organisation, the bulk of our donations, of over 95% are made to local charities. This year donations of £500.00 have been made to each of the following: The Hamlet Charity; Thornage Hall Independent Living; Norfolk Family Carers; Together for Mental Wellbeing; The Smile Shop CIC and £1000.00 to Fresh Start - New Beginnings.

Social activities ie meetings with speakers or entertainment, coach trips, bingo, quizzes.

Financial help to poor and needy and widows of former members of the Masonic Lodge.

Supporting the maintenance and fabric of the church buildings and surrounding churchyard

Monthly Meetings which include a speakerMonthly Whist Drives for the local community

Fund raising for local and international causes. Sponsership for Community, Voccational,and Environmental improvement.

Support for members of the Weston-super-Mare R.A.O.B. G.L.E. in financial hardship or need. Also support for widows and/or orphans of deceased members.
