FUNDRAISING IN THE FORM OF SUMMER FETES, CHRISTMAS BAZAARS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT THE SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS ATTENDING IT.

The WI is a National Organisation in which each Institute operates within its own area, but also in wider areas for certain aspects-such as County Shows, etc. Butts Brow WI currently has a membership of 34 ladies who meet once a month at the Memorial Hall, Willingdon. We organise fund raising events and enrichment activities for the pupils and families of Wickhambrook Primary Academy. This includes School Discos, Christmas Shows, Raffles, Summer Fete etc.

Women's service club supporting other charitable work in the village.

We provide space for those who need a large , well maintained space for whatever (legal) activities proposed. It can for meetings, play groups, dog training Gardening club talks, Parish Council,weddings ,Harvest activities and all general village activities.

The WI exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

Hersham Women's Institute is a flourishing members organisation with 56 members providing educational and social activities for all women in our community.

The aims of our group are to promote the development of young people in achieving their full potential through a balanced programme of activities. This will enable them to take their place as members of their local, national and international communities. The method of achieving this is by a balanced, enjoyable, and attractive scheme of progressive training based on Scout Promise and law.
