Croydon Contacts is a small charity supporting adults with learning disabilities in Croydon to enjoy social activities in their local community. We run various events for members, staffed by volunteers & trustees, supported by carers & families. Events include Board Games; Bowling, Cinema & Lunch clubs; Summer day trips to local museums & parks; visiting local pantomimes & shows.

The W.I. exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

Management of Village Hall left in trust to village in 1975. Provides community focal point for social activities, and also maintains fabric of hall.

The objective of the charity is the relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, injury, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, the charity is not limited to that purpose.The objective is met by making financial donations or donating equipment to registered charities.

To provide comforts for the patients and consider any requests from the Wareham Hospital for materials or apparatus not available to them (at the time) form official sources.

Operating as part of The Scout Association providing activities for Beavers (children aged 6 to 8 years), Cubs (children aged 8 to 10 1/2 years), and Scouts (children aged 10 1/2 to 14 years).

The Friends of Knaptoft began as a group in 1939. It has two main areas of influence. It is first and foremost an Ecumenical Christian Group servicing four open-air services annually in the ruins of an english heritage church site, during which collections are taken up on behalf of a range of registered charities and shared with the friends towards the cost of upkeep of the site and to cover admin

Village hall is used by a number of organisations and individuals as a meeting place. It is regularly used by over 40 people per week and as a venue for church functions, local School, the Womens Institute and other community organisations, local doctor's advice centre, skittles, bingo, local choir etc. Display boards provide information on local planning issues and local business.

To advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:-* Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;* Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
