The main purposes of the WI are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences, to improve and develop conditions of rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, cultural subjects and branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.

Relief of the poor and needy or support of such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Education / training and sport and recreation for children,young people ,elderly ,people with disabilites and the general public.

Tanworth in Arden W.I. exists to provide social and educational opportunities through trips, organising speakers and undertaking projects relating to current events and issues. We welcome women of all ages.

Distribution of funds collected from Brethren of the Lodge to Masonic and local charities

Training in various activities for age groups 6yrs-25yrs.Including outdoor pursuits ,service to the community. All activities whether indoor or out door are designed to stimulate the Physical,Mental and Spiritual faculties. The training programme is in accordance with that laid down by the Scout Association in its Policy Organisation and Rules,(P.O.R.)

Arford is part of Hampshire Women's Institute and meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at the church centre in Headley. The W.I's activities are centred on promoting friendship, companionship and education within the local community. The WI are also involved in important debates which affect the whole country and other peoples worldwide.

THE ST LUKE'S PTA (AKA FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL, OR FOSSILS) BRINGS TOGETHER PARENTS/CARERS AND TEACHERS TO ORGANISE EVENTS THAT ARE FUN; BRING THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY CLOSER; AND RAISE MUCH-NEEDED FUNDS FOR EXTRA-CURRICULAR ITEMS - PLAY EQUIPMENT, SCHOOL TRIPS, EXTRA DT SUPPLIES AND THE LIKE.

Provide facilities for local community activities through fund raising and other activities.

We join with national W.I. in lobbying the government on relevant issues. We support local charities in various ways. We conduct educational visits for members. We raise funds by raffles, sales tables and coffee mornings.

Girlguiding UK enables girls and young women to develop their potential and to make a difference to the world. Earley District run units locally to achieve this accomodating girls from the age of 5 to 65. A variety of activities are run including crafts, adventurous activities, singing, outdoor camping and opportunities to travel and stay away. Topics include the world, the environment.

General charitable purposes

Assist in the conservation of the natural beauty of the National Trust property of Box Hill and in the protection and improvement of its amenities for the benefit of the public, and advance the education of the public regarding Box Hill and its ecology and to further this aim it has produced a number of publications.
