to provide Village Hall facilities for the people of Wylam and the surrounding area

A day centre, offering social activities, bingo, social afternoons with speakers on topics of interest. We provide tea, coffee etc to members. Opening 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday, and also provide hot lunches on 3 days each week. We continue to use our mini bus for local and occasional trips to the mainland.

Behind the fun of Scouting, there is an educational programme that was completely redesigned in 2001 following years of work with educationalists and youth workers. While each Group will undertake different activities, the main programme areas are: outdoor and adventure; global; community; fit for life; creative; and beliefs and attitudes. Group Leaders are trained to deliver this programme.

A Scout Troop including Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts from 6 years - 14 years. It's a great way for children to have fun, make friends, to widen their knowledge and encourages them to take part in new activities/experiences. They are encouraged to enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence & take part in regional and international camps.

To promote the development of young people in acheiving their full physical,intellectual,social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The Group operates under the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.

The historic Turk's Head is fully restored and kept in good condition. A cafe is open 7 days a week and upstairs is workspace. The charity uses the rental income to support community activities in the area.We organise an annual event for the whole community in mid summer and work on the creation of community assets. We plan to restore Wapping's river stairs and build a lido in Shadwell Basin

The objective of the Bridgend District Scout Council is to provide & support Scouting within the communities of Bridgend CBC. To contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical intellectual social & spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, as members of their local, national & international communities within the methods of The Scout Association.

To provide a village hall for public use by village organisations for various activities eg drama group, WI, badminton group, karate, carpet bowls, etc.

The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social & spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens & as members of their local, national & international communities. Scouting uses a method which is young people in partnership with adults.

1st Bilsthorpe Scout Group, is a scout group registered with The Scout Association, the young people who are members of 1st Bilsthorpe Scout group are encouraged and supported in achieving the aims of the Scout Association. Providing a community hub within North West London for children and young adults across a wide range of ages with thriving Beaver, Cub, Scout and Pioneer groups. Volunteer lead we aim to give young people access to experiences including camping, hiking, countryside awareness in addition to fostering an environment of friendship, trust, self-confidence and personal skills development.

To help young people towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct,using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

Community Centre for the benefit of the community which covers the whole of the Gloucestershire surrounding areas.Our vision at Stonehouse Community Centre at the heart of the community providing a sustainable , secure culturally diverse and accessible space that is valued and supported by the people of Stonehouse and the surrounding areas.

Part of Lions Clubs International the Club holds events during the year to support Partner Charities, for youth support, Lions and other local charities and causes. We obtain sponsorship for each event to ensure that all the money that is raised by participants in the events goes to charities in one way or another. Our main event is the Knowle Fun Run which raised nearly GBP21,000 in 2024.

The Group's charitable objective is the development of young people by helping them to achieving theirfull physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and asmembers of their local, national and international communities, by producing an enjoyable and attractivescheme of progressive training guided by the adult leadership.

Principal activity - to advance the Christian education of GB & other countries of the world without distinction of sex or race. To empower individuals to be self-reliant by having the confidence, ability to compete & participate in economic & social activities. The main activities of the District are to provide support to Scout Groups within the District, enabling them to give a balanced programme to their members and to supplement the Groups' programmes with major activities such as camps, Gang Show, competitions and a swimming club.
