Poole Sea Cadets provides training for young people aged 12 to 18 based on Naval Traditions and Discipline.Our activities include sailing to RYA standards, Pulling (rowing) Adventure Training, PT, Shooting and Swimming. We have an active band which performs at functions & ceremonies.Cadets can train in specialisations from Catering through Radio Operator to Electrical & Mechanical Engineering

Friends of Wray Common School

The PTFA is focused in two areas:1. to organize events and schemes for fundraising2. to implement social activities within the community to bring together children, parents/carers and teachers. The PTFA works very close with the school to improve life at school for the children and the community.

The 1st Cheriton Scout Group provides a full programme of scouting activities for all sections, including camping and a large variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

BURSARIES WHICH SUPPORT STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FOR 'OUT OF THE ORDINARY' OPPORTUNITIES.THIS INCLUDES MUSIC AND GAP YEARS AND VOLUNTARY WORK.-

Providing scouting activities to young people aged 6 to 14 years. We have groups of Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts.The 2nd Exeter Scout Group is affiliated to a national organisation, the Scout Association, although the Group is locally led and locally run by volunteers. To use and maintain the Village Hall for the maintenance and improvement of the physical well-being of persons resident in Longthorpe, Peterborough by the provision of facilities for physical training and recreation.

Providing Scouting for Children 6-14Years old

We promote the social welfare of all those living within our area of benefit. We manage Lawn Community Centre to further this aim. We endeavour to run it in an efficient way as cost effectively as possible. We organise social events in Lawn Community Centre and promote activities elsewhere in the neighbourhood. We support local groups when appropriate.

The Scout Association promotes the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities, by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.

Donate monies to charities nominated by members who hire the Trust's facilities.

To provide leisure and learning facilities to all people within the surrounding area. With particular consideration to children and the elderly. To produce amatuer stage production and provide Community services to all volunteer groups and organisations.
