The 9th Harpenden Scout Group runs a scout troops, two cub packs and a two beaver colonies. The aim is to promote the development of young people and to assist in creating adults who will play a valuable part in the community.

Summer / Christmas Fairs, Halloween disco, Quiz night, Adhoc events, Cake Sales, all organised to raise money for the school

Providing education & training for young people (Scout Association rules & regulations).

The Association (HCA) maintains, improves, uses and runs Hepworth Village Hall, a former day-school owned by the Anglican church. HCA lets space, at low rates, to local groups (sports, craft, playgroup, charities, drama etc) and to individuals for social events and parties. HCA runs regular community events, eg Film Night, Folk Night, food-evenings, concerts, plays, quiz-nights etc.

Providing music lessons for local children

The Association Maintains and runs the Horn Park Community Centre as a venue in pursuit of the Associations' objects.The premises are let for such community groups and there is a full time nursery using the premises.

Promotion of community activities and provision of community centre for use by village groups and clubs.

The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full potentials - physical, intellectual, social and spiritual - as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

In accordance with the aims and objectives of the Scout Association, activities are provided by trained volunteer leaders and are for young people aged 4 - 25 years. These include indoor and outdoor activities at weekly meetings and camps, to promote teamwork, comradeship and appreciation of the natural world and to make them responsible citizens of this world.

Bromsgrove District Scout Council supports local Scouting; the aim is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as reposnible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The provision of Scouting to young people between 6 and 25 years of age

The Scout Association promotes the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local national and international communities. This is achieved by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme progressive training, based on the Scout Promise & Law and guided by adult leadership.

To receive bequests and donations from Mark Lodges, Royal Ark Mariner Lodges and Brethren of the Province of Northumberland and from other Masonic organisations. To make grants to Mark Brethren, widows and children in need and donations to the Fund of Benevolence of Grand Mark Lodge & other Masonic and non Masonic charities.

Fundraising to support additional educational resources for Western Road School in Lewes, East Sussex.

Scout and Guide Group consisting of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides with members from the local community

Friends of Emsworth Community Health exist to improve health care and wellbeing in the wider Emsworth community, by using funds to provide equipment and amenities which cannot normally be obtained from other sources.
