Grants to other charities

Two grant programmes are open to applications:1. Opportunities through Sport - applications accepted from charities throughout the United Kingdom;2. Special Needs and Care for Children and Young People - applications accepted from charities where the beneficiaries are in: Berkshire; Buckinghamshire; Hampshire; Isle of Wight; Kent; Oxfordshire; Surrey; East Sussex; and West Sussex.

Providing services of a practical nature such as help in the home, gardening, diy, social day centres, pub lunch clubs, advice and information, advocacy, befriending, dementia drop in and respite services and living well activities.Campaigning on issues which affect older people locally and nationally.

HENRY is a national charity that is transforming traditional approaches to health through successful intervention at the start of life. Services address child obesity, oral health, infant feeding, parenting and emotional wellbeing. Services include training for early years practitioners and evidence-based family programmes to give children a healthy start in life through a whole-family approach.

The charity seeks to provide premises suitable for the provision of education services for children from Bedford and surrounding areas.

We provide refuge space for Latin American women and children in the UK who flee domestic violence. Our Advice and Information Centre provides advocacy and support for women who are not ready yet to leave abusive relationships or might not be eligible to live in the refuge. We recently took on floating support and we are part of the Islington BME Outreach Project.

The charity aims to support the religious and other charitable works carried on by the English province of the Congregation and its members. These works fall into the main areas of: caring for members of the Congregation; education; healthcare; social and pastoral care and the advancement of religion.

Age UK Wiltshire promotes the well-being of all older people in Wiltshire, Swindon & Southampton through offering information and advice, befriending, Carers support, Welfare Checks with Meals Service, activity groups and supporting community day services. We offer talks on a range of subjects to community groups and we research and campaign on issues that affect older people.

Provision of Care & Sheltered accommodation for the Elderly

The charity offers support to vulnerable families including very young parents both by the provision of residential family centres and in the community.

Age UK Milton Keynes is a charity working with and for older people in the Borough of Milton Keynes to make a real and positive difference that contributes to their wellbeing and quality of life.

Leukaemia Care is a national blood cancer support charity. We are dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support. We provide services to patients and their families, and education and training to the healthcare professionals that look after them. We also campaign for earlier diagnosis of leukaemia and access to treatment.

Offering free independent advice to residents of Wirral and environs on issues relating to debt, welfare benefits, housing, mild to moderate mental health,consumer, family matters etc.

Providing quality care & support to people with learning difficulties or mental health needs to live in the community.

WE PROVIDE CHILD AND FAMILY FOCUSSED SERVICES INCLUDING: CHILDCARE, EARLY EDUCATION, OUT OF SCHOOL HOURS CLUBS, TRAINING, CHILDREN'S CENTRE SERVICES, FAMILY SUPPORT, VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES, FAMILY FINANCIAL ADVICE AND RELIEF FROM FOOD POVERTY.

The principal objects and activities of the charity, as set out in the Memorandum and Articles of Association,are to advance the education of young persons and mature students and in particular,but without prejudice to,persons of Japanese origin and to advance the education of the public in all aspects of Japanese culture.

TO DISTRIBUTE FUNDS TO VARIOUS CHARITABLE CAUSES INCLUDING CHILDREN'S HOSPICES

Re-engage aims to relieve the loneliness and isolation of socially isolated older people by developing intergenerational groups that meet regularly and where older people can get to know peers and other people in their communities. Volunteers provide support through driving the older people to the group's social gatherings and making sure that the group meets regularly and by hosting the groups.

Greensville Trust runs a number of faith based educational and support courses and classes, predominantly across the north of England. Greensville trust also organises a number of excursions and a variety of community events. The trust also has it's own premises in Liverpool; 'Felicity House', which houses a nursery and functions as a central hub for the trust.
