THE RELIEF OF CHILDREN AFFECTED BY AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) AND THEIR FAMILIES, IN SOUTHEND ON SEA, ESSEX AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, BY THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, INFORMATION, OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESPITE, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND NETWORKING.WE HOLD WEEKLY DROP IN SESSIONS FOR THE FAMILIES AND CARERS OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM, IN ADDITION DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS WE ORGANISE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.

Kings Road United Reformed Church is a local congregation of the United Reformed Church. We provide resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care and spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for the congregation and for anyone else who wishes to benefit from what the church offers. We promote Christian values and service by members of the congregation to the community.

To provide education for pre-school.

The promotion of the study of art, music and literature and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the provision and maintenance of the Beecroft Art Gallery at Southend-on-Sea in the County of Essex as a public art gallery and library.

To provide camping facilities and indoor accommodation for members of the scout and guide associations, other youth organisations,schools, and community groups and also to provide a wide range of activities suitable for the 6 to 25 age group within the general principles of the Scout movement

To advance education, to relieve financial hardship and to promote and protect good health by providing drop in centres where people in need can access the appropriate help, in particular but not limited to accredited training and access to computers and the internet including a digital translation service available to those who first language is not English, debt advice and counselling.

Templesprings specialises in the area of Music Coaching, Lifestyle Coaching and Mentoring services. Our music coaching programs are unique and robust, and includes group courses in schools, faith organisations, and short intensive classes for individuals. Templesprings works with people who want to access professional coaching services for personal development.

Religious and Social Activities

The Trust wishes to financially support registered charities working with the young, elderly, the disabled and the vulnerable. It encourages applications for funds to "pump prime" a new charity. Applications will only be considered from registered charities or CICs based or working in Castle Point, Rochford and/or Southend local authority area. Applications will not be considered from individuals.

We are a committee run pre-school offering space for up 46 children between the ages of 2 years - 5 years. We operate 51 weeks a year offering holiday activities to children from 2 years - 8 years.

WE STUDY, RECORD AND PUBLISH ESSEX NATURAL HISTORY AND GEOLOGY BY FIELD MEETINGS, EXHIBITION MEETING, AGM, SHOW, PUBLISHING JOURNALS AND BOOKS, TEACH COURSES AND OUR GROWING WEBSITE FACILITY, AND FUND SIMILAR GROUPS. GUESTS AND MEMBERS ATTEND MEETINGS, WRITE FOR OUR JOURNALS AND WEBSITE. WEBSITE HAS MORE INFO EVERY MONTH. WE HAVE A CENTRE NEAR BASILDON. WE EXPECT TO BE A LOCAL RECORD CENTRE SOON

Provision of regular public worship open to all and sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work including visiting the sick and bereaved and the teaching of Christianity through sermons and courses. Promoting the whole mission of the Church through provision of activities for senior citizens, parents and toddlers. Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas

Baptist Church, conducting public weekly Christian services, and providing activities and groups for the local community of central Southend i.e Playgroup, Toddler groups, youth and childrens work, mens and ladies work, adults with learning disabilities

A Sea Scout Group providing a huge array of activities and training, on and off the water, offering #Skillsforlife to young people aged 6 to 25 and beyond. It is a Royal Yachting Association Teaching Establishment and British Rowing Accredited delivering training to national governing body standards. The Group is Royal Navy recognised and affiliated to the Royal British Legion.

Pre-school charity relying on fundraising from parents and committee including, easter egg hunt, cake sale, dressing up days.Provide sessional pre-school for children aged between 2.5-4years.

TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONGST UNEMPLOYED PERSONS IN PARTICULAR BY TRAINING OR ASSISTING THEM TO OBTAIN TRAINING IN SUCH SKILLS AS WILL FIT THEM FOR EMPLOYMENT.THE RELIEF OF THE POOR AND NEEDY OR TO OR FOR SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE, INSTITUTION, SOCIETY, OR OBJECT AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL IN DULY CONSTITUTED MEETING FROM TIME TO TIME DIRECT.TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

We offer free counselling sessions via trainee counsellors to adults living in Essex who are experiencing suicidal thoughts. This can be offered face to face, over the phone or via Zoom. We are currently offering befriending and coaching via volunteers but this may finish in 2023 due to a lack of volunteers. We offer peer support coffee afternoons, currently in Thurrock, Southend and Maldon.

We are based in Southend and our services were formed in Southend on Sea with funding from Southend Borough Council. The aim of Friends and Places Together is to seek friendships for isolated and vulnerable people within our community. Primarily we offer support to young people from 13 to 25 years old but we have had many requests to support all people that are isolated.

The main activities of the charity are the pre-school education of children under five years within a Christian setting and in line with current Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. This is achieved by working together with families delivering a play based, caring and supportive environment where children will blossom and develop in their own individual way.

The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical,intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals,as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of training guided by adults.

For the public benefit, the relief of neurodivergent and disabled children, young people and adults and their parents or carers, in particular, but not exclusively, by:Providing support services, assistance, information, activities, and training programmes;Relieving financial hardship;Creating opportunities for respite breaks;Promoting social inclusion and raising awareness and acceptance;

To enable persons in Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding area as well as elsewhere who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those who may be at risk of suicide, to receive confidential emotional support at any time of the day or night in order to improve their emotional health and to reduce the incidence of suicide. Contact is made by phone, SMS, Email and face-to-face.

The following ongoing activities: Prayer session for the local Muslim Community daily five times; Elderly and pensioner club; Job club for local unemployed people i.e. CV writing, interview skills & the job search. Sports and recreational activities for Young people indoor and outdoor games; Homework tuition and religious education classes, community cohesion, and diversity & inclusion project.

DIAL provides a free, confidential information and advice service on all issues affecting disabled people to help them to improve their quality of life. We can help with benefit checks for Income Maximisation, benefit application form completion, appeals and information on equipment, holidays, leisure, community care, independent living, mobility, transport and any other problem they may have.
