Welfare Club hosting community activities such as Bingo, Bowling, U3A. A wide range of Community groups use our facilities such as Special Guardians, JIGSAW, British Heart Foundation and we hire function rooms out for Keep Fit, Parties, Meetings etc. We have a Rugby Section, Bowling Section, Darts & Doms and an Entertainment section for our members.

ESRA is a leader in the field of providing local specialist employment related services to our clients (people with mental health problems) and employers. Our services are available to clients who are looking to return to or retain work and also employers who need advice and support in recruiting or retaining valuable staff (who have mental health problems).

Annual County Show

The Congregation Charity supports all-age schools for children, and health centres. Also, it participates in running social welfare and religious projects. Globally and throughout England and Wales the Trust works mostly in deprived or rural areas.

A RESORCE CHURCH INVOLVED IN TRAINING CHURCH LEADERS, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES IN AID OF THE POOR

To advance the Christian faith in the United Kingdom and throughout the world by such means being charitable as the Society may determine.

The primary object of the Foundation is medical research in its widest sense with preference given to assistance with launching/initial stages of new projects and filling in shortfalls. Also supported are children & youth groups, disabled, countryside, arts, sport, carers groups and animal welfare. Grants are generally between £500 and £2500, to UK registered charities, not available for salaries.

The objects of the charity are to provide benefits to persons in necessitous circumstances who are not in paid employment and who are, or have been engaged in fulltime Christian work and for the advancement of the Christian religion.

To prevent and relieve hardship and distress amongst persons who are (or who have been) homeless; living in adverse housing conditions; unemployed; and/or experiencing social exclusion and to provide to such persons support appropriate to their needs.

INCOME IS APPLIED FOR PRESERVATION OF THE RURAL CHARACTER OF TELSCOMBE SO THAT THE INHABITANTS OF TELSCOMBE, PIDDINGHOE & BRIGHTON MAY HAVE ACCESS TO PEACEFUL RECREATION & MEDITATION, THE AUGMENTATION OF THE STIPEND OF THE INCUMBENT OF TELSCOMBE, THE UPKEEP OF THE CHURCH AND YARD, THE GENERAL CHARITABLE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS, AND THE RELIEF OF DESERVING POOR PERSONS RESIDING IN THE VILLAGE.

The principal activity of the Society is the organisation of an annual agricultural show.

A rural Pre-school and nursery providing Early Years Foundation Stage Education for children 2 1/2 years to school age who live in Knebworth Parish and the surrounding area. Our income from the LEA is topped up by the payment of fees for those children not in receipt of LEA funding and the overall shortfall in funding is supplemented by fundraising events organised by the Management Committee.

The Committee meets every 4 weeks (approx) with a planning group discussion and comment forum. There are reports on our local historical heritage buildings, future Civic Trust activities, Trees for Burnley, further additions to our Blue Plaque scheme and awards to outstanding developments and renovations to which our attention is drawn - both by the members and the public. The Christian Africa Relief Trust is a charity which provides goods to the people of Africa, free of charge, in order to make a positive difference to their lives. The goods are distributed regardless of caste or creed. We also sponsor and encourage self-help and developmental projects in education, medicine, agriculture and vocational training.

For the advancement of the Christian Religion. Meeting the needs of local and third world Communities. Providing Community projects for both young and old. Educating young peple in performing arts, drama and music.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN AGRICULTURE, HOMECRAFTS, COUNTRY LIFE AND RELATED SUBJECTS

Semi rural community setting; providing education, development and learning for pre-school children aged 2 to 5 years, in a safe and stimulating environment.

Community activities

The object of the charity is to provide almshouses for poor men, not less than sixty years of age and of good character who are resident in the County of Northamptonshire and preferably in the Urban district of Rothwell, at the time of appointment. A total of ten almshouses are available to meet this object.

To advance the education of its members in Leicestershire and Rutland in agriculture, homecrafts, country life and related subjects. This is provided by a programme of training, social, educational and recreational activities.

Chorlton Good Neighbours recruits local volunteers to help support older people in Chorlton , Chorlton Park and Whalley Range. Services include transport , visiting and 1-1 support, small DIY and other practical jobs. The group also runs weekly exercise sessions for over 65's, coffee mornings, singing, history, drama , Art ,positive living and gardening groups as well as regular day trips/parties.
