Local Whitley branch of the WI, providing education, entertainment,support and a voice for all women. We promote rural initiatives, the environment, and the countryside. We have monthly meetings with a speaker, regular outings, sports and leisure activities. See our website for more information

Provision of grants to assist people to pursue further education in the fields of rural craft training.

The charity applies only to five small rural parishes in Somerset, Marston-Magna, Ashington, Rimpton, Chilton Cantelo and Limington. Funds are concentrated on bursaries to help pay for individual childrens instrumental music tuition. Support is also offered for individual development in dance, drama and art.

FACILITATING AND ENCOURAGING LOCAL PEOPLE TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES THROUGH VOLUNTEERING.CONTINUATION OF DEVELOPMENT WORK ON BLACK ELDERS PROJECT WHICH HAD SOME SUPPORT FROM AGE CONCERN AND THROUGH LOCAL FUND RAISING.SOCIAL AND CULTURAL EVENTS, DISCUSSION GROUPS TO INFORM AND RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT HEALTH, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND LIFE LONG LEARNING ACTIVITIES.MARKET TESTS.

The charitys area of operation is limited to the former urban district of Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.

The objects of the charity are to stimulate civic pride in the beauty, history and character of Scarborough and its surroundings and to take an active interest in maintaining those features on which the character of the town depends. During the year the society's activities included commenting on planning applications, participating in heritage open days, raising funds and organising town walks.

AIMS TO PROVIDE A ROOM FOR COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

A) To advance the education of young members of the public in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects. And B) In the interest of social welfare to provide and promote the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure.

Helping young people and adults in the Guide and Scout Movements and the wider community to learn about and to appreciate the countryside. To learn new skills for camping and working together to achieve this through fun and friendship. Any group working for The Duke of Edinborough Award Scheme can also use the campsite.

The advancement of agriculture in the City and County of Herefordshire.

We provide relevant education,training,culture, arts and recreational opportunities for rural based women.We also are involved in caring for the environment and local heritage.

To support Christian work and witness both through our local church and through a variety of agencies and individuals including training for mission and for humanitarian aid.

A rural youth organisation for young people aged 10 to 26.The objectives are Fun, Learning and Achievement.

From giving parish councils expert advice on planning issues to influencing national policies, we want to protect and enhance our living countryside.

Revesby Village Hall offers the local community a meeting function, entertainment and activity area in a countryside environment for the use of all local people along with anyone else or organisation which may wish to use the facilities at a hire rate which represents running and maintenance costs only.

Awards scheme for building and development quality, grants for environmental and community improvements, speaker meetings, group visits, representations to Government and Local Planning Authority

Northcote Hall is for the use of the villagers of Iddesleigh and Dowland for social, cultural and all community activities.

General fitness regimes such as weights training, weights lifting under trained supervision, withemphasis on youth and unemployed persons and persons with physical disabilities.The intention is to instill a sense of worth and well being into the trainee of all groups.

Activities asked for for by the villagers eg., Annual Village Agricultural Show, Wine Tasting Evenings, Domino Drives, Ladies sewing circle, Fashion Show, Soup lunches and Parish Council meetings 3 times a year.Our hall is available to all groups on request.
